Love the fabric. It's not stiff and easily goes in hoops. DI NOT USE THE MARKERS. It does not wash out.Still well worth the money

These pieces of Aida cloth are a good size for most needlework. They are big enough for most large designs and then of course you can cut them down to a smaller size if needed. I always try to get the biggest piece that I can when buying for crafts, as I usually am getting the items on speculation for what I might do with. I don't usually have a set project in mind. I like the 14 count size. 11 always seems to not look right when stitched and at this point in my life 18 count and smaller, I just can't see without a magnifying glass.I'm not sure what the point of the erasable markers is for. I have made plenty of counted cross stitch designs and never had the need to use it nor have I ever seen it mentioned in the very many embroidery reference books that I have. The ink is green. I made a mark on some fabric and then tried to erase it with water. I had to completely saturate the fabric and I still see a faint residue of the mark. I will be keeping an eye on the sample to see if it returns after the fabric dries or if it comes back when heat is applied. Just seeing how hard it was to get most of the ink erased, I doubt I would ever use these on a project that I cared about as I would be concerned about the mark not going away or if it would return.I appreciate getting to try these out. I love to cross stitch, so I always like to have a lot of extra cloth on hand for new projects. These pieces are approximately 12" x 19" and are 14ct. The measurements and the stitch count are accurate for all of the pieces. Some of the pieces have a slight discoloration around the edges, it seems almost like it may be discoloration from whatever was used to cut the fabric. The discoloration is minimal and doesn't bother me as I frame or otherwise finish all of my projects, so the edges wouldn't show. I did not try the marking pens because I've had bad experiences with them in the past so I no longer risk it. However, the price alone makes it a good deal for the aida cloth.

So far 2 of the pens don't work

The aida fabric (white) is firm starched, which is great for stitching in hand. You can also prewash them to soften them up if you prefer. The size 12x19 in accurate, though not all were cut on the line so maybe a quarter inch was lost to straighten them out.The pens work fine. While being felt tip they didn't bleed ink over the fabric, and lines were still pretty crisp for marking areas. I left the pen on the fabric for weeks, but after a warm water soak and wash there was not a trace remaining on my piece. The cloth also did not shrink, which is great.For the under 10 price, this is a really decent value for white aida.

I generally don't use the water soluble pens, they tend to spread pretty far when used on Aida cloth and I like my marks neat and crisp. I do use them for other things, so having the added bonus of the pens in this package was fantastic.This is great Aida cloth. While they are slightly off with the cuts, it didn't take long to square them up and then I finished them off with an over locking stitch on my sewing machine. I do this with all of my new Aida cloths. You get sixx and they're big pieces, so you can do a whole lot of stitching with this pack.

The markers do NOT wash out!!!! so don't use them or use them very sparingly
