The material is a really flimsy plastic. The size was a lot bigger than I expected. Too big for the area I wanted it in and the item was damaged in shipping. Due to the poor quality in material I am guessing. But the return process was quick and easy!This would be a good jewelry holder for a child for bracelets and necklaces. But I was not pleased with the quality for the price.
