Here and Hereafter

Vineet Gill has written a wonderful book on Nirmal Verma and as he mentioned this is NOT a biography of Verma. He tried to appreciate the person through his works. He divided the personality of Verma in six categories (like traveller, critic, etc.) and to explain ‘each Verma’ he used his works. This is a short and interesting book on one of the best Hindi authors. As Vineet also hoped I also believe that this book will reinvigorate the readers’ interest in Verma’s books. However, this is also true that you will get more flavour from this book if you have already acquainted with some of the Verma’ books. This book is like literary criticism of Verma’s work with an objective to understand the man also.
