To all the people saying it's hard to close, are you sliding it the right way? There's an arrow pointing to the way you slide it and there's no resistance at all.... Both of my bags close smoothly & look really nice. I honestly love these storage bags. They're a little smaller than I expected but over all I'm happy with my purchase. I would have bought the pack of 4. I've froze meat, and refrigerated a bunch of different food so far. No complaints.

Good for sous vide, but these are difficult to get all of the air out of, making the bag float. If you have a wire rack to weigh it down, it will work much better.

Everyone should use these. Stop using single use plastic. Great quality. Use it for opened pet food daily.

Definitely watertight. I bring my lunch in these every day and they have yet to fail me. I would 100% recommend.

First off, this seems to do the job. you can wash in a dishwasher, put food in it, seal it, etc., so that bit is fine. I found it reasonably easy to close. Those who have complained about closing may have tried to close from the wrong side (only one side works), or possibly have weaker hands. Could be a challenge for a kid to open. If difficulty to open is a concern, I'd just try it out and see if it is acceptable.My main issue is that this bag is VERY THICK, rather stiff, and fairly heavy. It reminds me of a piece of medical equipment. Think of this more as a flexible food storage container, not as a silicon version of a ziplock bag. This bag is useful, for things like food storage in the fridge / freezer, but I would not recommend it for ziplock bags applications where you want to just stuff some food somewhere, e.g. snacking, camping, hiking, etc.Hopefully someone will come out with a reusable food storage bag in the future which uses much less material.
