I'll never be w/out mine!
Moved a while ago, old my one is still in a box somewhere.I couldn't live w/out it so got another one of these. Makes perfect eggs.I've always got a bowl of hard boils in the frig ready to add to jazz up all sorts of things.This little wonder is a great one. I'll always have one.How To:After tapping the fat end of the egg onto the little puncture prong in the egg cradle,(which allows air in the egg to escape) rest the pointy end of the egg upside-down in the cradle(ensuring the fat end is facing straight upward so the air can steam out as it cooks.This must be what makes the eggs perfect b/c that step can't happen when you boil eggs old school in a saucepan.)Best Pro: Start at the top fat end to tap them open. I just tap from the top fat end straight down from 12 o'clock to 6oclock—then start to peel off the shell from the top fat end first. Every single one the shell peels away perfectly.It's the main reason I love this machine. Eggs that don't peel perfectly are the worst, esp. if making deviled eggs.My Only One Con:You must ensure unplugging it—which may be a deal breaker for some but:a) at the price, no complaints here and,b) unplugging ensures I stop cooking the eggs at the perfect time.I let them sit there until they've cooled down naturally, then into a bowl for the frig when I need them.Clean up is an easy-peasy wipe down, & stored off to the side. Perfect eggs every time
I love the auto-shutoff feature and the alarm when it's done. The measuring cup makes sure you put in the perfect amount of water for how many eggs you want and how you want them cooked. Definitely worth the money.

Yes, it is made as cheaply as I expected: Buzzer worked a few times, at lower volume each time until it stopped sounding altogether. But you hear a click, the red light goes out and it shuts off when done, so no big deal. Heating element is apparently under only a portion on one side of the stainless water dish, which naturally collects mineral/shell runoff deposits that burn brown once the cycle completes (a splash of lemon, vinegar or citric acid heated to a simmer for a few seconds easily dissolves it; then rinse and wipe dry - good as new). However, for virtual pocket change - it cooks eggs perfectly (according to count & doneness the cup’s marks indicate), straight from the fridge. Will probably go for a higher quality/priced model when this “starter experiment” burns out, but if it goes 6 months, I have no complaints. Works better than any “sure fire” stovetop recipe ever did, and MUCH quicker and simpler. Just fine!

Would recommend!
Great product- especially for the price. Does it’s job perfectly. The timer went off the first use only, but not an issue at all. The red turns off when eggs are done- which only takes about 10 minutes. They turn out just fine!

Dressed eggs here we come!
I absolutely love this thing. A friend had one and it make the process of making Dressed Eggs easy. Eggs are easy to peel too!
