Q: Is this product safe for septic systems?

Powder soap, if not dissolved, will build up in line to septic tank and cause backups. Seen it for myself. I do not recommend ever using powder detergents in washing machine or dishwasher. Go Liquid!

Q: Does not mention in the description if this is suitable for high efficiency (HE) front loading washing machines. Anyone know?

Yes, it is absolutely safe for HE front loading or top loading machines. It even states it on the packaging. You should put the tab(s) in before you load your laundry.

Q: Do these work in cold water?

It works but many of mine left clumps in the washer. I found that adding "extra rinse" fixed it. It worked fine, no clumps on my clothes- but a clump left in the bottom of the washer.

Q: Where is Presto product distributed from?

It’s okay. Nothing exceptional.
