UPDATE: Gooby responded immediately and said that while fraying can be expected if the material is snagged, it would honor the warranty, and a replacement is on the way. So, I have changed my review from 2 to 5 stars.First off, I should say this design is the best I have found for my two little escape artists. However, I'm extremely disappointed that in less than two weeks, the color cover of one has frayed to the point that I'm going to have to purchase another. While she wears it every day, it's only for walks, not playing, and all she has done is scratch at it occasionally in the house. I'm going to contact the company and hopefully this is a glitch and I can get another. Because I'd really like to recommend them. I just moved to San Francisco and my heart is in my throat every time I take my little rescues out. So far, AS LONG AS THE BUCKLES ARE TIGHT, these have worked very well. However, when the buckles are not tight, and there is no tension on the harness, my little girl can slip out of it. Hope this is helpful!

Some dogs are hard to fit for a harness. I took my dog to Petsmart and tried on every style they had, both small and x small but none fit correctly. They were too big in the chest and the ones that fit in the chest were too small in the waistline. This one has adjustable tabs at the top that keep it snug. My dog is a 9 lbs chihuahua. The orange look fabulous on him. This is an x small.

The harness fits our small 14# dog well, looks nice, and he's comfortable wearing it. The downside is one of the plastic loops where you hook the leash broke after 1+ week of wearing it. Fortunately the way it's constructed, we replaced them with as sturdy as we could find smaller metal rings. He's a 2-3 year old rescue that we just adopted a month or so ago, and we're learning his quirks. He's affectionate, good in the house, but besides being a door-dasher, occasionally he thinks he wants to chase a car while we're on a walk. We need those rings to be sturdy. (Yes, after 35+ years of family dogs, mostly rescues, we've purchased our first e-collar at the suggestion of the clinic that neutered him. We just haven't gotten through all of the instructions yet.) Except for those pesky rings, this is a well-constructed harness.

The rings and clips were plastic it lasted about three weeks it did keep my dog from escaping but she tugs a lot and the plastic rings just snapped

FINALLY found a harness that fit my dog and was easy to put on. This harness fits snuggly so that it does not slip over to the side. Stays in place during use. It is adjustable, easy for your dog to step in to. The best one yet .....

This is our second harness in three years. Its comfortable control for our dog. The old harness is just dirty from use. Bought the new one as a dress up going out on the town kinda thing. Worth the money.

The harness is easy to put on, I just have my dog step into it and clip it on his back with the leash. It’s soft and padded, and he seems to like it better than his old one. He doesn’t pull or lunge, so I don’t know how it does on dogs that do, but I expect it’ll cushion their body well and not cause any pain to them if they do pull against it. So far, it’s a good harness, and I’m glad I got this one. It comes in a good selection of colors, and the price is reasonable.

I have an escape artist. She is a 10 lb, long-legged Chi mix and can back out of all 9 harnesses I've had before this one. She is easily spooked by noises on a walk and immediately backs up, but she can't get out of this amazing design. I'm so glad I took a change and purchased "another", and my LAST harness.

My pug managed to escape from 2 harnesses prior to trying this one, which a friend recommended. We've been using it for 2 weeks now and she's not managed to wriggle out of it yet! She is still a pup and quite wary of new places and situations so spends a fair bit of time dragging back, but this harness has held tight. I'm a Gooby convert and have recommended the brand to a number of others!

We have needed to try a lot of harnesses and this one has ex excellent balance between comfort for the dog and security. We believe it will be difficult for our dog to back out of the harness because if he pulls against the harness it will tighten around his body. A very good product which I am happy to give 5 stars.

Really fast delivery. Excellent quality, expensive but quality. Fits well and I’ve tried lots of different ones, my dog is exactly in between sizes on most harness makes. Wanted one without buckles behind legs as they rub him when he gets hay fever red skin under armpits. This is perfect.

Extra small for two chihuahua dogs. No longer able to escape. Tried many before, wasting our money. Absolutely brilliant.

bought two harnesses. great fit, very secure. One dog is an escape artist so the adjustment clips are really good and firm. They can run off lead easily and the harness stays in place
