Will buy again
I have purchased about a dozen Rolife miniature kits and I absolutely love them. This 1920s inspired investigator (office) was just super cute. I will say this kit was a little bit more on the easy side so it was less of a challenge which made it more fun and less fun at the same time. I love that they’re not all the same.

Such Good Pieces
This is my third Rolife room I've completed. I love that the pieces are so precise and that the kit has more than enough supplies to complete the project. The directions are so easy to follow with plenty of illustrations.

Fun and easy. Loved this project
I really loved putting this together. Once I got started I had a few ideas to alter it from what the build was out of box. Super easy to alter and make to your liking. Only thing I had an issue with was getting the included glue to with the fabric. I'd recommend switching to a fabric glue for that part. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed doing this project and how it turned out.

This is one of the BEST kits I've made.
The wood pieces came already cut and ready to assemble. This is a good quality kit. I enjoyed making it. Rolife kits as the bests.

Mose's Detective Agency
This review is for the Mose's Detective Agency set, from the Mystic Archives collection. I haven't finished it yet, but I have sorted through all the parts & I've already made another Mystic Archives set (Kiki's Magic Emporium). If you're brand new to making miniature diorama kits or new to Rolife, congratulations!! This is a really fun one, and they've done some of the work for you, i.e. the furniture pieces are already painted, some of the accessories are pre-made resin pieces that you don't have to make from scratch, and some of the tiny paper decorations are pre-perforated so you don't have to cut it all out by hand (you still have to cut out some of them though). If you're new to mini kits, the first thing you should do is locate the legend: a large folded piece of paper that is basically a map of all the other parts. The parts are all numbered in the instruction book, and the legend will help you figure out where they are & make sure you're using the right piece for each tiny project. The bag numbers may seem random, but the instruction book will tell you which tiny bead or bit of wood is in which bag, so the numbers are important. Go slowly & read carefully! Compared to other miniature kits, Rolife's instructions are extremely good, but you have to REALLY read them, don't gloss over them or skip ahead.Wiring the tiny light bulb is a massive headache. All I can tell you is to test it constantly to make sure you're attaching the correct wire to the correct stem, test it over & over & over & over. Or just buy a pre-wired LED light bulb separately! It can be an interesting challenge but even experienced mini-makers often just buy them because they are very difficult. I'm just thankful this kit doesn't require any flowers, I hate making flowers!Depending on where your kit ships from, it may or may not include glue & batteries (if not, you'll need some silicone glue & a pair of AAAs). You'll also need an Xacto style knife, needle-nose pliers & cutting pliers, and a decent pair of small but sharp scissors. They include tweezers but you'll probably want nicer ones. An inexpensive set of jewelry-making tools will get you just about everything you'll need.Aside from wiring the light bulb, I think this is an awesome set for beginners because it includes so much & a lot of the work has already been started for you. Of course, if you feel like you want to customize, it's great for that too - you can paint the furniture a different color, rearrange the layout, make your own floor & wall treatments, the only limit is your imagination! That's the fun of these little room kits, you can follow the instructions as much or as little as you want. Following the instructions carefully is almost like taking a mini-making class, and once you have a few skills under your belt you can go rogue and make whatever you like!

Great for someone with fine motor skills and patience!
I absolutely love this scene and am excited to be working on a diorama of this theme. I am BLOWN AWAY by the fine details in it, and even the small yet still readable text on each photo, piece of paper, and even the covers of the books on the shelf. It is like stepping into a little world! I love it.That being said it is definitely not a beginner project as it requires very fine motor skills and a lot of patience. For example, every piece of paper, book cover, photo, floor pattern, etc is in fact on a sheet of paper that you will be cutting and gluing. There are no sticker decals which some will prefer but was a surprise to me. There is also a need for quite a few tools that experienced crafters may need but many will not. This would include an Exacto knife, cutting board, and surprisingly all three tools from a jeweler's kit like fine needle nose pliers, round tip pliers, and diagonal cutters. So it did take a trip to the store to get what I didn't already have. Luckily the glue is already included. The instructions are fine for the furniture assembly and placement of items but my biggest complaint is the lack of piece identification. The pictures on the instructions are 2d views of only 1 side and a letter/number code. However, there are no corresponding letters and numbers on the pieces themselves. I figured that among the bagged pieces they would be bagged by letter code but instead found them all intermixed between bags. It's not hard to find which pieces you are needing next but it is time-consuming to search through all the pieces.Again, the details are incredible like even providing foil for the bottle caps and wire for the handles on the drawers. It is such a beautiful and fragile scene but a treasure that I am still working to complete. For me, it is definitely a multiple-day project and something to relax with after work. So don't be surprised if you can't finish it in an afternoon but the final result I can tell will be so worth it!

Really enjoy these kits
These kits are great; difficulty level is medium, not super easy but not difficult either. Looked great after I got it together. Quality is as expected. Fun project!
