Pelican Vault V200 Hard Case (Camera, Pistol, Gear, Equipment)

I bought this Pelican to store my rotation of EDC knives. This seemed better than the top drawer of my toolbox and allows future expansion as I add more to my rotation.Now as you’ll see from the picture my first slot in the foam is a little haggard as the foam isn’t super easy to work with. This isn’t pluck n pull foam, you have to cut it. I made the mistake of trying to use a razor blade on my first cut; wrong answer. I got smarter and realized I had an xacto hobby knife and used that.I highly recommend the xacto knife method and from there it’s all finesse. There’s multiple layers of foam storage to store in tiers, and there’s multiple up too too. So in my case I can store my knife oil in tier 2, and a desiccant pack as well to keep things dry.This is a phenomenal storage solution and I can turn the pelican upside down and shake it all around and nothing moves or shifts. It gets the job done at a reasonable price.

The product matches it's name, the vault. Solid construction with easy to cut foam to form around your cargo. Great purchase.

Bought this case so I could get some custom foam cut for my competition pistols. Case is great and with the foam added…. Whew!

The foam is reasonably easy to work with. I sort of wish this came with the "pick and pluck" foam that some of the other Pelican cases use, but the foam inserts this came with were fine too. Easy to lock, feels sturdy and reliable.

Fits nicely inside a suitcase, tough, foam is great for holding things in place. A great buy.
