Awesome Underrated Gem
I love this film so much! It's got such a great story, characters, action, and humor. Two aspects I love about this under film are the development of the main characters and the strive to save something you care about.(light spoiler alert)Firstly, (pretty sure many others have already commented on this) when it comes to character development with our two main leading characters, one of whom (Winnie) wants to live up to her father's legacy and the other (Rayburn Jr.) struggling under the weight of what his dad accomplished while making his own path. In the end both of them learn to not only make their own marks in Monster Wrestling but they rediscover the importance of respecting their own father's legacies. For the other aspect, both Winnie and Junior saving the stadium both their town's stadium is something that really hits home for me over a more personal reason. You see one of my great grandfathers (from my mother's side) owned a local grocery store in a little town in Texas named Cooper and he had great relations with everyone living in the small town community. In many ways, the small town of Stoker reminds me of my great grandfather, the town Cooper he provided for and the sense of community held with it's citizens. Saving the stadium in Stoker also meant saving the town and it's community of citizens which really touched me on a deep level. There's several more reasons on why this film's so wonderful, but those two aspects are what really stand out with me.

Kaiju Animation
Pretty cliche the whole way through, but movies like this live and die on animation, and the animation is great.Gotta say, Will Arnett is great, but I'm getting a little sick of hearing him as every main character.

DAT PACING
First:It felt like they did a decent job on what they had to work with.Second:It also felt like they stuffed one and a half movies into the runtime of a single full-length feature.Great for short attention spans, less great for someone who enjoys a bit of time to process and retainwhat just happened from one scene to the next. While I've seen one review detailing the many traits of this movie as "faults",claiming lazy cliches and no real moral to the story,it seems like a teachable moment was NOT what this show was going for. It's got throwaway gags.It hints at implied backstory. It's laser-focused on just one sports-related industry, and it's gonna tell THAT story, come what may.It also has the attention span of a caffeinated hamster.Yet, could anyone do better with this many action scenescrammed into that short of run-time?They used what seemed like every trick in the book to make this work, and while the pacing left me exhausted and barely fulfilled,I'm left wondering if it even WAS possible to improve on it more. The visuals were cool.It had exceedingly large talking critters . . . dance fighting?OH! NOW I GET IT.4 out of 5 Choreographed Kaiju

Finally a KIDS Movie!!!!
My kids are YouTube Kids so when I cut their Wi-Fi to their phones & put on a movie…. I had nothing but “Mooooommmm, No! We don’t want to watch this stuff!” Well let me say… THEIR MINDS WERE CHANGED!!! After the 4th time watching it, I decided to leave a review.Where to start other than my kids didn’t think they’d like it & we loved it. I wasn’t going to watch it however 2 minutes into it I laid my phone down & sat down with my kids. The BEST THING for me as a Mom of 3. Ages 13, 10 & 6 (1 Girl & 2 Boys) was no CRUDE HUMOR, no words meant to be cuss words! No political statements…. Finally a KIDS MOVIE that’s just a Good Kids Movie. No BS show-horned in on your kids when your not listening which made me take the time to review it.What is “Rumble” about? Well, the name is a dead-giveaway…. It’s about WRESTLING! I asked my kids to explain it to me & the 6 year old said; “I think this is the Future where we have alien-monsters that took the place of our wrestlers. A place has one Alien-Shark-Octopus that is the best but he leaves the town, he’s the towns Monster. The place they wrestled in is this girls, dads gym & he taught the towns best wrestler of all time. Rayburn! Her dad and Rayburn are gone and she had to replace the bad guy. She goes looking for a new monster & finds Rayburn Jr! So the kids come back & fight. Steve is not Good so she has to train him. Steve is Rayburn Jr Name! Then he starts fighting some monsters and gets good & fights the Bad Guy & you need to watch it to know what happens because I don’t want to RUIN it for you Mom!”The 10 year old; “I think it’s got wrestlers talking for the Monster Wrestlers. Sounds like the Rock & John Cena (Terry Crews & Will Annette). It’s just a monster wrestling movie but it was actually really good. I will watch it again!”All in All: My Families Con-census is …. WE WILL BE WATCHING IT AGAIN & it is one of the BEST Movies (recently) that’s come out for Kids. Remember back when movies were made just for kids & their was no statement crammed in every scene? Well this is it….

Awesome movie
A nice change from all the movies that have come out lately full of political crap. Just a family friendly fun movie with a good story, animation, and voice actors. It's been a while since I saw a movie I didn't get at least a little bored with recently. I actually want to buy this one and am eagerly waiting for it to be released on DVD. To the writers and animators, excellent job. Thank you for producing something original instead of another remake or "reimagining" of an old story. There was nothing objectionable, so my kids can watch it with me, yet the story wasn't the fluffy insubstantial stuff a lot of kids movies or "clean" movies tend to be. We need more movies like this one. I'm recommending it to my friends and family. Once again, good job to the crew who made it. Keep up the good work!
