I’m in
I will be collecting all the Dr Who archive collections despite what other’s say. Yes, this set has the telesnap episodes but with no more animations in the works we have to take what we can get.

America shortchanged again?
I can’t help noticing that this is a five disc set while the official UK set has nine discs. Are we being shorted on content?

Fewer discs means nothing.
Some people are speculating that content will be left off because the US version is currently listed as 5-disc where the UK version is 9-disc.A) The US version may be printed on dual-layer blurays while the UK discs are single layer. Dual layer = 2x the dataB) this is a mock-up we do not know how many disks the final product will contain

Will it be uncut?
Previous Disk releases in the US are missing a scene with a Beatles performance due to a music rights issue. (The Chase - Episode 1). I am afraid this release will be subject to the same.

Nothing to complain about
There's no reason to complain about 2 episodes being missing from a 39-episode Season. We still have 2 and a half times as many episodes as Seasons 23, 24, and 26 for the same price, so calling this one too expensive is frankly ridiculous. And while I would prefer to have each story on its own disc like in the UK release, I acknowledge that the discs have a lot of empty space, and I suspect that we'll still have all of the special features, just with stories doubled up (although the order of episodes in this season confuses me as to how that will end up.)

Not This Time
Two episodes of "The Crusade" remain missing and are presented on this set in telesnap reconstruction. That's the audio over still photographs of the episodes. I'm sorry, but for how much these season sets cost, BBC should have animated them for this release. For that reason, I'm out

Excited!
Looking forward to this. Would it have been nice to have the missing two episodes of "The Crusade" animated? Sure, but they would also be extremely expensive to animate due to all the characters and costume changes. Plus they would have to release it separately first to recoup the costs, which would mean this set wouldn't come out for a very long time. I'm grateful that we get these season sets at all, especially a 60s season.
