Product Description Featuring stunning footage from seven winters in the Arctic, People of a Feather takes you through time into the world of the Inuit on the Belcher Islands in Canada's Hudson Bay. Connecting past, present and future is a unique relationship with the eider duck. Eider down, the warmest feather in the world, allows both Inuit and bird to survive harsh Arctic winters. Traditional life is juxtaposed with modern challenges as both Inuit and eiders confront changing sea ice and ocean currents disrupted by the massive hydroelectric dams powering New York and eastern North America. Inspired by Inuit ingenuity and the technology of a simple feather, the film is a call to action to implement energy solutions that work with nature. Packaged in a 100% Certified Green Forestry Practices Eco Pack Review "Lyrical...stunning." --The New York Times"(Four Stars) Spectacular!" --NOW Toronto"Artful and meditative...a near mystical mix of time-lapse Arctic landscapes, marine life photography, and interwoven imagery of Inuit life." --The Georgia Straight

We are interconnected in ways we don't comprehend
A thoughtful and insightful view of the interconnected worlds of the Inuit and Eider Ducks of the Hudson Bay. On a larger scale the film clearly depicts the changes in sea ice and currents wrought by hydroelectric power demand. I will never see city lights at night without remembering the irreparable cost to nature.Don't watch if you do not want your consciousness raised.

An Insightful Film
People of a Feather is an insightful film, allowing us to witness the symbiosis between the Inuit people of the Hudson Bay and the animals and ice around them. This is a helpful document to help the rest of us to understand one way our need for energy has global environmental impact! Well done.
