Good Price will they hold up?
04/09/2022 Review for Cambro 6 Quart Translucent Square Food Storage Containers with Covers, 2 pack.I own and use several Rubbermaid Commercial Food Storage Container with Lid, 6 Quart, I wanted to add several more however, the price jumped up like most things today, and they were almost double the price of the Cambro 6qt. I have used mine for so many tasks, they are versatile and after 12 or 14 years of usage as good as new.The Cambro product is made from Polypropylene a soft plastic somewhat Temperature resistant, fatigue resistant, shouldn't crack, good for many detergent cleanings. Bad on Impact resistance, and shape stress due to heat.Rubbermaid Commercial Food Storage Container with Lid, 6 Quart made from dishwasher-safe, impact-resistant polycarbonate. Heat resistance is better than Polypropylene, flame retardance, high impact strength, used often for sous vide cooking, the shape will not warp in low heat usage. The main negative is cost.I was instantly disappointed with the Cambro, mainly - felt flimsy, with no handles (the lid rim is the handle), not sure it even seals there is not any kind of gasket (Rmaid not gasket however, a positive seal). My main usage will be dry storage for rice, flour, and beans in the kitchen pantry closet. So for that purpose, they should work ok. Using to transport food (especially wet liquid ie soup, meats with sauce) from one site to another, I would wrap with shrink wrap, to keep the lids on tight.I will re-rate these in a year or two if they are still in good shape.

Using to store flour
I purchased these food storage containers for another purpose originally. We had opportunities in the past at work to cook and bring in food for celebrations or contests which would generate money for different purposes but I live a good distance from work. I was going to use these to bring food in safely then transfer into a crock pot to keep warm. COVID definitely changed those plans as we are not allowed to have gatherings like this for right now so during the early stages of the pandemic foods were hard to find and going out was not really an option so we decided to bake pizzas, bread and anything else we could. I found that storing flour in these is a great option. I have one filled up to the top with flour. I would guess it takes 2 and a half bags of flour or about 12 pounds. I love using this for storage as it is food safe and I would rather have the flour stored in here than in the bags from the store. They are very big but great for storing items in bulk. Would also be a great option for rice, beans, or any other item you buy in bulk. I have also used for storing soups, chili and proofing dough. I will be buying more.

Classic… the Pro Choice
I’ve worked in catering and restaurants my whole life—I even owned one briefly. Cambros are the industry standard for containers. Can’t go wrong with these, and the smaller sizes are perfect for home cooks and meal-preppers; they stack nicely and they’re basically indestructible (except the lids can be felled by mice when there’s birdseed inside and the get a night alone with it).

A great addition to my larger sets.
I love Cambro products, and I have the 4 quart and 6 quart varieties already, but I wanted something a little bit smaller for smaller prep work and these were perfect. They are durable and last forever. Recommended!

Cambro containers are my 'go to' for food product storage
I've used Cambro containers for years, after a good friend (that works in the food industry) recommended them to me. Most of my containers are the 6 quart. I had been using big glass containers for my all-purpose flour and granulated sugar. I dropped the glass lid over the holiday season. The lid shattering it all over my kitchen floor. It was that time that I opted to purchase the 8 quart containers. PERFECT!! It hold more product. Cant shatter the lid. Alway handy in my pantry. Highly recommend them.

Professional High Quality Food Containers
High quality containers. I was sick and tired of using terrible containers like ziplock or no name containers because they were always flimsy and you could never find the right tops for them. I knew of Cambro's from work as I work in a restaurant. I have seen how the kitchen staff treat them and from experience I know they can take a beating. I have seen them melted, cracked, broken but still usable however, thats not to say they don't work well because they do. These thing can and will take a beating. They will also last a long time, especially if you do not abuse them they can last for a very, very long time. The polycarbonate is quite thick and very high quality which brings across its ruggedness. Now the downside to these are the price. They are quite high especially for only a pack of 3 (2 quart variety). This to me is more of an investment because I believe they do eventually pay themselves off from the lack of buying other food storage containers over and over again. They are also quite large, if you do not have a good place to store them they may not be for you even though they do stack. So if your sick of terrible food containers like I was get what the professional kitchens use and buy these.

Very happy with recent purchase
I bought this set a couple of weeks ago and am very happy with them. It wasn’t easy to find the size and bpa free. Even though they’re more expensive than others, I feel that I am getting a qualitative higher product (don’t want to trade my health for getting a cheaper one with BPA). Since I bake regularly, I use them to store four and grains. They stack well too

Unique size
Very sturdy containers. A difficult-to-find size. Great for storing soups or stews, or odd-shaped pastries.
