Good product poor movie
Giving this a five-star because the DVD and case came in perfect shape. So it's not the seller's fault that the movie was fairly terrible. I love Marvel and DC but I have to say this is one of the worst ever made. It's campy and childlike humor that I just can't stand. I should have known as soon as Disney got a hold of it it would turn to garbage and it certainly did. Disappointing movie.

If anything I could say this is a long time coming for me but I haven't seen the film yet
The film has extremely bad reputation though there is still some fans of it despite it. It makes sense but from what I'm hearing even I'm not a fan of such a direction but they did hire the man to direct this film to stay the tone so it is what it is. Whatever May hold with me watching this film I'm hoping that it won't annoy me as much but having it within my MCU collection isn't all bad.

A Very Good Film
This Marvel film was Four Stars. I liked it, but I did not love it. The movie has cameos galore, and great acting and perhaps the best villain portrayal that I've ever seen in a Marvel film, played by the great Christian Bale. Unfortunately much of this film is off the mark. Seeing Jane Foster die was saddening. Knowing that Heimgar died was also sad.Look closely for the cameo of a famous actor who plays a role within a role in the film and was a Bourn thespian. When I saw this in the theaters I remember one of the guys in front of me lean over to his buddy to tell him who and what he recognized as the actor playing a role within another role.I'm the 11791st person to review this very good film. I recommend it, I just don't think it is better than or even close to the level of the first two Thor films, and possibly the third. September 5, 2024.A. Nathaniel Wallace, Jr.

THOR is LIGHTNING !!!!!
Thor: Love and Thunder is a thrilling and action-packed movie that will leave audiences on the edge of their seats. Directed by Taika Waititi, this film is a perfect blend of humor, heart, and epic battles. The storyline follows Thor as he teams up with the mighty Valkyrie and the fierce warrior Jane Foster, who becomes the new Thor. Together, they must face off against a powerful new enemy that threatens the entire universe. The performances in Thor: Love and Thunder are top-notch, with Chris Hemsworth delivering another charismatic and powerful performance as Thor. Tessa Thompson shines as Valkyrie, bringing a fierce and determined energy to the role. And Natalie Portman is a revelation as the new Thor, showcasing her strength and vulnerability in equal measure. The special effects in this film are truly stunning, with breathtaking visuals and epic battle scenes that will leave you in awe. The humor in Thor: Love and Thunder is also on point, providing much-needed comic relief in between the intense action sequences.Overall, Thor: Love and Thunder is a must-see for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and lovers of epic superhero films. With its strong performances, stunning visuals, and engaging storyline, this movie is sure to leave a lasting impression on audiences.

Did Taika Waititi TRY to Ruin Thor?
First, the only three positives: The battle scenes are fun, the rekindled romance between Thor and Jane is well-done although sadly ended, and the talented cast members are great at acting. Now for some of the Many NEGATIVES: Thor is infantilized until the last battle and (whether Hemsworth approved or not) degraded by the gratuitous butt-cheek scene. The goats are just awful, unnecessary irritants. I actively rooted for the goats to die. The wretched orgy jokes seem designed to offend and make the movie inappropriate for children. Russell Crowe's talents are wasted and degraded. The woke LGBTQ propaganda is shoved down the audience's collective throat over-and-over-again. Korg becomes the Jar-Jar Binks of the MCU when he isn't just a self-promotion vehicle for Mr. Waititi. Tessa Thompson is talented, but her "King Valkerie" is a far cry from the actually Marvel character "Valkyrie." (I mostly blame Mr. Waititi for that). Having Chris Hemsworth's daughter tell Thor to "Go to Hell Demon!" is wildly inappropriate even as a lame, stupid attempt at humor. Kids should NOT see this film. OVERALL, Taika Waititi has very little respect for the source materials, which he seems to be sacrificing for self-promotion and sexual propaganda.

Ten thousand points to Portman
That's what I wanted to see. She pumped up and looked the part as well as acting it. You won't get any complaints from me on that point. If she somehow got her own film, I'd like to see her keep pushing those physical boundaries.I'd say my biggest issue with the film is she's under-used.Overall, it's a Thor movie. It's serious enough, but campy, cheesy, and basically an excuse to see people smash things with hammers and make lightning, and also for them to look like they can actually do it.Both of them are believable in their roles.Didn't see the end coming at all, but it allows a wild series in the future, and I suppose the passing of the torch may happen at some point, but as long as I see that much effort put into fitting the role properly, that's fine by me.That's where the controversy in some films has come from. Look the part. Hollywood isn't fair, so punch harder than the next guy, even if you're not one. You'll get the respect. Some extreme people have complained about LGB stuff... Where? What does it matter with aliens, anyway? Dude nailed a wolf-chick on top of a proper wolf, and you're worried about LGB stuff? LMAOWhatever message they might have had was very well-integrated, and I don't want to see another comment about Hemsworth's bare tail. That was my 67 year old hardline Catholic mother's favorite part.Complain about that, and I'll just say you're ashamed you enjoyed it.
