I never used an eye pillow before and have been looking for one for my meditation sessions. It has a nice weight (not too much not too little) and helps my eyes relax during meditation. I have not tried to use it cold or warm, but I’m planning on the future. I have not noticed much smell from lavender packet even with adding half of it to the eye pillow, but this was not a concern for me. Overall I would buy it again.

Missing my studio eye pillows during covid...I finally realized savasana is just NOT the same without using one of these, so I went off in sesrch of my perfect match . I researched a ton on Amazon and while this pillow didn't have a lot of reviews (and none non-vine at the time), I took a chance as it had everything I was looking for, even if it wasn't as low priced as others.Pros: (1)Washable outer material. Pillow is designed so that you can separate the outer cover from the inner content - HUGE advantage over others out there! (2) Another HUGE advantage - the inner bag has a zipper so you can add or deduct the number of flax seeds to make the pillow heavier or lighter according to your preferences. I was concerned about the zipper in the microwave, but I heated the whole bag in the microwave (600w) per instructions & had no issues. If this is a concern for you, I recommend halving the power level as you heat it up, heating it in 10 second intervals & never heating on high. (3) the inner bag is cloth (no crinkly sounds) (4) For those sensitive to smells or oils - while the pillow does come with dried lavender- it comes in a separate ziploc bag that you can add to the flax by unzipping the inner bag and mixing it in. The pillow smells faintly of lavender on arrival, but if this is an issue for you, you can just pour out the flax into a bowl, wash the 2 cloth bags, and once dried, add the flax back into the zippered bag - no lingering scent to cause you issues. (5) It comes with an outer drawstring carry bag so you can drop it in your gym bag, backpack, purse, etc. and take it with you without fear of contaminating something you put on your face/eyes- also washable :-)Cons: (1) the giant tag on the outside of the outer pillow that they don't show in the promo pictures. I guess this can be cut off, but it does have the heating/cooling recommendations on it. I would have preferred for this to be on the inside, even if right on the seam to separate the 2 pillows. It's distracting & takes away from the aesthetic. (2) for those of you who like to know country of origin - this is made in China. Some people may not care, for others this may be a deal breaker.Overall: cannot be more pleased!! Well worth the purchase & would definitely purchase again if needed!

Helpful for tired eyes, immediate relief.

I love the smell of lavender, its one of my favorite things. That being said, if you aren't a fan of lavender this probably won't work well for you.For me its very relaxing, I place it over my eyes when I'm having trouble falling asleep and it works very well for that purpose. It's also a nice afternoon relaxation technique for a busy work day.I also get sinus headaches, and I've used this several times and it does help with those as well. It does a great job of relaxing the facial muscles.

I meditate daily and do group meditation so I was looking for something to help block out extra light and add some relaxation to my spiritual time. This bag did the trick. You get plenty of lavender to add beautiful aroma plus it has a zipper so you can add more at any time or additional sents. It's soft and comes with a carry bag to keep it clean. I would happily gift this to someone.
