I ordered these handles for a coffee table that I am making for our cowboy themed family room. The table will resemble an old trunk with a top that lifts to reveal a storage area. These handles are perfect for the application. After distressing the wood, they'll make the table look like it was just unloaded from the stage coach in Tombstone! We inherited a very old steamer trunk and were in need of replacement parts. These handles were a great find and were easy to install. That and some paint gave this trunk a new life. Great value for the money, too.

Looks great. A put it on a heavy Backgammon case I made and it feels a little Whimpy but should work well. Would be better if it were a couple in longer

If you mount the leather so that you can get your hand under it, of course it will not lay flat which is the look that I wanted. This can be corrected by having elongated holes in the leather. This would allow the leather to lay flat on the surface and at the same time allow you to get your fingers under it to lift the lid.

I love the look of these pulls. I used them for handles on a cabinet my brother built for me from reclaimed teak. I did paint the hardware parts black to match the hinges we used. The only thing that would have been better for this purpose is longer screws. Other than than, perfect!

Worked well for me. Happy enough !remember to space the holes slightly closer than the holes in the leather, to make the handle stand up a little

The straps I’m reviewing are on right side of pic. The straps I use to replace old leather straps on immigrant trunks are on the left. These straps are well made but too small for my usage on immigrant trunks!
