Cuisinart DLC-837 Medium Shredding Disc

I still have the original shredding disc that came with my DLC-10 1966 Cuisinart but it shreds into a tiny mush rather than the coleslaw shredding I was looking for and got with this shredding disc....I am totally satisfied

Little different than the original but work. No tested for durability

I have a very old but workhorse-solid Cuisinart. The disks are the old style with the permanently-attached stem. The stem of the shredding disk broke (I use the shredder the most of the various disks), so I bought the detachable stem and this disk. Unfortunately, I didn't try it out with my machine right when it arrived (I don't use my Cuisinart often). I wanted to make some cole slaw last week and I was eager to use my new shredder. The detachable stem doesn't fit my machine, so I can't use this disk. I haven't contacted the seller to see if I can return it.... it hasn't been used at all, but it's been a few months since the purchase, so it's kind of my own fault. I'll probably try to sell it on Craigslist.

Well made shredding disk for my Cuisinart

Soft cheese ends up getting sucked in between the blade and the cover toward the end, but for the most part shredding is quick and simple. Washing the blade takes more time than shredding the cheese, assuming you actually want to get every bit of junk out of all the unnecessary nooks and crannies. That's a bummer. Will continue to use and look for better ways to wash.

Needed a replacement.

These food processor accessories will definitely make your life easier. But this is in fact a coarse-grater and not accurately described as a medium shredder. Note the description comes from the company and not the seller, but still, that would need to change.As importantly, avoid Arora Sale at all cost. If you need to return an item, they make your life difficult. Best bought from the company directly with reliable customer service. Lesson learned here and some money and time wasted dealing with this seller.
