Received this product which was packed without any bubble wrap or styrofoam. The light was broken and missing almost everything necessary to hang the light, including the wire itself. Stuck with the product because the return window closed before I got to open it.

The light itself looks pretty nice! We had been wanting to install a pendant light over our dining room table for awhile and we finally decided on this kind of design. I was hesitant about the twine/rope looking shade, but I actually really like the look of it in person. The same goes for the gold, it actually pairs really well with the color of the shade much better in person than I would’ve thought.The install itself isn’t too terrible but it’s about a frustrating as installing a ceiling fan. Even if you know what you’re doing and have done it before, you can’t deny that it isn’t a bit annoying holding the fixture whilst messing with the wiring and securing everything. It’s fairly straight forward and things go a lot smoother if you have an extra pair of hands to support the fixture while wiring things up. The included instructions are pretty simplistic yet concise, so that was refreshing. The diagram is also helpful too if you’re not entire sure where to start.A couple of things to note. I’m not giving this a perfect score because a couple of things are a little wonky. Here’s what I mean :Assembling the shade with the included screws and nuts is a bit of a pain. If you don’t have super small fingers, it’s a tight squeeze the connect the top and bottom of the shade effectively. Use the smallest Phillips head screwdriver you have because a full size is too cumbersome to work with in this instance. Also, once it’s assembled it’s essentially a basket type thing and for whatever reason no matter how much I mess with it, mine seems to sit a little off kilter. It’s no big deal, but it is worth noting.The tubing can be a bit annoying to work with at first. Some of the threads feel like they aren’t cut in evenly so some pieces feel like they won’t screw together when in fact they will, you just have to force it a bit.The canopy covering at the very top which covers the wiring and mounts to the ceiling has an attachment which can angle if you are mounting on an angled ceiling. This is great but the problem is that the angle mount only bends in one direction. In my case, the mounting holes to secure the canopy did not coincide with the angle of the attachment, so it doesn’t keep things completely level. What would be ideal is if the attachment were free-floating similar to a ceiling fan mount. That way the light was attached and could free swing and hang level due to gravity, regardless of if it were mounted on a flush ceiling or angled ceiling.Overall though, I’m impressed as I truly wasn’t expecting much. This isn’t perfect, but if you like the style and look of it, go for it. It’s a pretty decent price for this fixture and honestly, it looks more expensive than it really is.

I am really pleased with this light fixture, because it is rattan, the cage isn’t exactly symmetrical but it has a nice, organic yet modern vibe. The rattan and brass look really great together however, the brass finish feels cheap. It is ok for now but not the best quality and I expect the finish on the rods will peel away over time.I am definitely not a pro, I have only installed one other light fixture and the install is really easy, the instructions are also easy to follow. The pendant comes with several rods to achieve desired length. I would definitely advise taping the wires with electrical tape just to move them through the rods otherwise it is a bit of a struggle.

We hung our VILUXY Woven Rattan Pendant Light Fixture, Hand-Worked Cage Shade Natural Abaca Rope Chandelier today. Installation was average, comparable with other hard wire lamp installs we've done before. We decided to just use the super short downtube + one more to have the length we wanted.The lamp casts a beautiful soft light around it. Our old light was brighter; this one makes a nice environment for dinner. We're using a large Edison bulb inside.Nice light, beautiful shade, and looks good in our dining space.

I'm really loving this light. I've been wanting to replace our old, outdated fixture but it was hard to find one that wasn't too trendy or too traditional- until I came across this! It creates such a cozy, inviting vibe & a beautiful pattern on the ceiling. Amazon can be hit or miss but the light is put together well, it does not look cheap. The basket is structured perfectly, no crooked or loose bits & it doesn't feel too delicate or flimsy. My husband installed it in 15-20 minutes from start to finish, everything was straightforward. I loved that it came with a variety of down-rod options so you had control over the total length. The only thing that I would change is the threading to screw the fixture to the down-rod itself didn't feel especially tight, it moves rather easily & feels like it should be a bit more snug. But I don't really anticipate that being much of a problem since there's no need to touch/interact with that part day to day.

So pleased with this fixture!Our old light directed the light downward, leaving our dining room too dark. When looking for this style of fixture everything was either way too big or way too pricey. This turned out to be the perfect solution for us.I have limited electrical experience, but this only took me 40 minutes to install, start to finish. It comes with 4 of the gold rods to be able to hang at different heights, we ended up using 2 of them so you can see how far this could actually extend down if needed.It allows the light to travel everywhere and creates a really great pattern on the ceiling when it's dark.Bottom line- couldn't be happier, well worth $80 (especially compared to what else is out there for that price).

Just the right size. Good quality and color easy to assemble and install. Excellent value
