My only complaint is the noise/effectiveness.I'm using it a small office without a lot of air circulation of its own. I'm a mental health counselor, and my standard for 'too loud' is that it becomes loud enough to intrude in sessions and feel uncomfortable.My measure of effectiveness is how well it can clear my office of the smell left by clothing saturated in cigarette smoke or a really heavy cologne in 45 minutes, if the filter is right where the client was sitting.At sleep, and levels 1 and 2, it's so quiet I have to check the light to be sure it's on. Unfortunately, it isn't effective. No noticeable difference in smell in 45 minutes, and I can still smell the smoke or cologne after 3 hours.At level 3, it's loud enough that I don't feel comfortable having it on while the client is in the room. It *is* effective at clearing out a smell within 45 minutes.I'd prefer something I could have at an effective speed while the client is present, but for now, this will do. Once I start having clients in person back-to-back, I'm going to have to replace it.

Bought this for in my bedroom worked great till the puppy chewed the cord. Emailed customer service to find out how to buy a new cord got no response. So air filter A+ customer service F-

Filter doesn't last as long as the other brands do.

The description claims 800 hours of run time before the filter needs changing; that should be about 33 days. I’ve had this running for less than half that time, but the red indicator light to change the filter is already on. I checked the filter and it isn’t even slightly visibly dusty, still looks brand new. So I’m removing a star for that.It also doesn’t really deodorize the room by itself - I had it in a small walk-in closet (maybe 4’x8’) that smelled like musty shoes, and while it handled most of the smell, the room still has a mild lingering stink. Lemon essential oil on the foam pad helped but I would have preferred that the machine do the job completely without the use of essential oils. One more star removed.Overall, for a $50 machine, it’s not bad.

I bought this a few months ago to put in my den where I keep my cat's litter box. In an apartment, dust and smells can travel fast! This air purifier has been awesome! My trick has been to add a Glade clip-on car scent to the top of the fan, and it adds just the slightest fresh scent to the room.

I wish I had taken pictures but I had put essential oil on the sponge as it stated you can in the description. I ran the machine multiple times and when it came time to clean the sponge it had attached itself to the bottom on the holder with melted plastic. As far as I was concerned this is a fire hazard and I threw the machine out to the trash.

My smoking room was always an issue, especialy in the winter when I couln't open window. It works very well.

Did not find this to purify air at all. The item I got was used, so I was obviously the 2nd person to return it. It did not do what it is supposed to do which is filter the air to remove dust and particles, making the air cleaner. Unfortunately, it did nothing after several weeks of continued of use.
