Color fades fast on the OD green. Very Comfortable.
I bought 5 pair of these about a year ago and they are the most comfortable pants I have. I wear them for work as my job is managing public lands that are wetlands, riparian, and swamp. It's hot. Like the swamp is in my pants hot. Other pants that I've worn I tend to overheat rapidly and these are much cooler and comfortable to work or just lounge around in. I can't speak enough on the comfort. Comfort gets 5 stars and more if there was an option. The cons: color faded within a few months on all five pair. I usually wear a pair for several days before washing. I wash them all together, and use cool water and medium heat which is the lowest setting that will dry the pants. It's really obvious when the rest of my uniform is not faded. I bought these out of my own pocket and not with my uniform allowance that I am granted. It gets expensive buying 4-5 new pair every 6 months. Dyes don't take well either. Color gets 1 star.

Hands down, the most AMAZING pair of pants I have EVER owned!
I could not wait to sit down and write this review.Let me first tell you a bit about myself: I am very familiar with tactical pants. For years, I have been wearing BDU pants from Propper. They have become a necessity in my warehouse workplace environment where I am constantly bending my body in different positions as well as working around moving equipment as well as changing outdoor environments. In short, my needs in BDU wear are to provide me with comfort and flexibility.Propper pants are great, no doubt. The several pairs I have owned have lasted me for 5 years and they are still going strong, but just beginning to fray at integral seams. I thought it was high time that I buy 5 new pairs of BDU type pants to last me an entire work week.I began looking at Propper pants on Amazon. However, my eyes caught reviews for 5.11 pants. They were consistently much higher than Propper pants. As I began pouring through reviews on the 5.11 brand, I began seeing statements that the STRYKE pants were much more favorable than the standard PRO pants. Here's the initial issue I faced. These pants cost nearly $75 a pair. That's insane! I am used to buying tactical/BDU pants at about $35 a pair. As I continued reading more reviews from those who bought the Tactical Stryke pants, I realized that perhaps spending $75 might not be a bad idea. I went ahead and blindly bought 5 pairs of these pants in various colors. I figured if I did not like them, I could return them to Amazon.Upon arrival, I slipped on my first pair of 32/30 pants. I was floored! These are tactical pants?! They seemed like dress pants. The material was so soft. The appearance was slim and refined (rather than baggy), and it even had hints of pinstripes in the fabric. I mean, I could put on a nice shirt and go out to dinner in these pants.I was just dumbfounded by the fact that these were actually tactical pants. Yet, I could tell that this was indeed ripstop fabric. It had pockets all over the place. It was flexible and roomy enough that as I bent down, I never felt a bit of tightness in the fabric. Yet, the pants hug my body. They look absolutely amazing on me.Here's one more thing....I am a short guy. I wear a 29-inch inseam. Anyone with my inseam knows that no pants come tailored for us. I figured I would have to have these pants tailored, which would have been quite expensive given the fact I bought five. I was very happy to find that the length came in a little short so that I was able to just get by with the 30-inch inseam. This is something that several Amazon reviews do point out.Having just washed these pants for the first time, I was quite pleased that they held their form after a toss in the dryer. These do quick-dry and I would not recommend drying them for more than 30 minutes in the dryer.Folks, I am here to tell you that these are the most amazing pair of pants I have ever owned. I can wear them to the warehouse. I can wear them out to dinner. How many pants can you think of that can serve you for heavy work and relaxing dining? I suppose pants that cost $75 a pair can.Definitely worth the price. I will never buy another brand again. I am sold on 5.11!

The perfect design
*EDIT*I now own 4 pairs, and they hold up very well. I have waded thigh high water in them, and even some light snow. They are cool enough to wear in the summer and warm enough to hold up in the winter and repel water during rain too. I loved them so much I went ahead and bought some Ridgelines as well. The best pants I have invested in for years. I was avoiding 5.11 for a long time because of the price. After spending an equal amount on other brands including condor, wranglers (riggs), carhartt, kuhl, tru-spec, mars, and the other newer ones that are basically knock offs of all these brands, I finally caved. By far the best decision I have made in a while when it comes to pants. I got so fed up with 'tactical' pants that I tried buying jeans even. It just did not work.I bought a 34x32 and I am 5'11 and 180 pounds. I am toned. They fit perfectly. Unlike every single other pair of pants I tried, the 5.11's fit perfectly. Plenty of room, not overly baggy, and great in the waist/crotch area. You can move and be comfortable. The crotch is also gussetted and well stitched. The fabric is 10x better than the 'stealth' condors I recently tried, and much lighter than any other brands like carhartt and riggs. Kuhls are nice, but they are very limited and I will keep the one pair I bought, but they are even more than 5.11's and not as practical in how I wear them and what I carry. They are also tighter. I was seriously impressed with the fit and quality of these pants. I owned a pair of the lightweight tactical pants years ago, around 2012, and they were nice, but I always hated the front pouches instead of pockets. These Stryke pants are the perfect medium. The inside front pockets are perfect. Plenty of room to hang your keys and they are a good material. Nice and durable. The cargo pockets are not as loose, but I think they are also perfect. I have tested carrying around a magazine, although I would never do it regularly. However, the cargo holding power is great. Not too big and puffy or extended, and not too small with a lack of any room.I included some pics that I thought may be helpful. I have already washed them once and wore them all day before taking the pictures. They are nothing like the older 5.11's. They are much nicer. The pics that amazon shows are actually a good visual representation as well. Colors may be a bit lighter or darker, but you should expect that.Overall, I am really impressed, and will gladly spend the money on these pants a couple more times. I plan on getting about 5 colors and some duplicated of the same color. I returned tons of pants and jeans lately. I am glad I finally went back to 5.11. They really thought about the design of these pants and perfected an already great version in doing so. However, I advise you to check 5.11's website directly, because after my purchase I was informed through email they have a promo code for some extra gear or discounts. So check there first. I personally use Amazon Prime, but given the free gear or a discount for so much purchased, I would rather go that route next time.I highly recommend these pants.

Beware the weakness of the crotch
This is my second pair of 5.11 Stryke Tactical Pants. The first pair lasted about eight months before the crotch gave out. That seemed a little fast but the pants fit so well I thought I'd give it a another try. The second pair I bought on 6/28/18 and by mid September there was another tear in the crotch. No good.Given the high price of these pants and the short life span - I cannot recommend them.

These are excellent.
There are no decent reviews on the web about these, hopefully this will help. I am a fan of 5.11 clothing, you may be able to tell.Bottom line: These are excellent, highly functional and comfortable cargo pants, the best I have owned. Suitable for travel, hot and cold climates, the hills, work, or town. The style does not scream cargo pant/military but remains functional, the fit good (see below) and the colours appropriate.Fit: I am a 32-34 waist and a 32 leg. I own these trousers in 32 waist and a 34 leg and they fit well, slightly long and snug around the waist. 34 waist are too baggy around the groin and 32 too short in the leg. They are a straight, non articulated leg so slightly long is fine. The reinforced knee still fits as it should, both standing and kneeling. The waist is elasticated and fits as it should with good access to pockets. 5.11 Traverse pants fit me in exactly the same manner, but with a well sited articulated knee. 5.11 Ridgeline pants also fit as per the Stryke pant.Design: The layout of these trousers is as good as you are going to get with a cargo pant. The waist pockets are large and deep, cleverly worked into the elasticated waist band for great access and reinforced at the pocket clip area. Slit pockets take a medium smartphone (HTC One), large folding knife or small torch and are a good depth. Rear pockets are good even when snug on the butt and have Velcro closure that works fine for a wallet or passport etc. Cargo pockets on the thigh are more discreet than a normal cargo pant, bellows in a clever fashion and stretch. All gear is kept secure against the leg without being annoying. The pockets are big without being ridiculous. They have inner pockets for 2 x AR15 magazines. The pocket holds an A5 note book or small tablet and case, well (Kindle Fire). Fastenings are well designed Velcro that holds the pocket completely shut yet access is rapid. 5.11 Traverse pants have exactly this layout less the rear pockets which are zip closure, which also work well.Material: These are made from lightweight ripstop nylon/cotton blend fabric with mechanical stretch width ways. They are great in all weathers and are breathable. The trousers are hard wearing similar to BDUs with greater comfort and fit thanks to the stretch. The Teflon coating means they are semi liquid repelling and are easy to care for.Construction: No issues so far, well stitched, good materials, metal zip and robust fastenings.Colours: I now own several pairs of these. Storm is a great mid grey colour. Olive is as the remainder of the 5.11 range and suitable for the field. Tundra is a green/brown combination and slightly darker than olive - actually a great camouflage colour for most environments, with a couple of washes it may lighten slightly to be even better. Charcoal is a dark grey. Battle Brown is darker than 'chino' khaki but lighter than chocolate - another great colour. In all, I like all of the current 5.11 colours described.Washing: I have followed the instructions on these pants and washed them at 30. I have encountered no shrinking or fading.Alternatives: The 5.11 Traverse pants are also excellent and even more comfortable, they are synthetic and probably less hard wearing as a result. Fit is as per the Stryke pant. 5.11 Ridgeline pants are almost identical to the Stryke, but have jean cut rear pockets and no thigh pockets. They are slightly more smart than casual. They are made of the same material as the Stryke pant and fit the same. I own both styles and they are excellent.I am not retained by 5.11.....

Excellent!
These are excellent trousers. Normally I wear jeans but these feel so much more comfortable. Having 6 pockets is a big plus for me (they advertise 12 pockets which is because the thighs pockets are divided in three compartments, and the knees inside pockets are useless). The pants stretch and adapt to whatever you are doing, like wearing a pajama, right from day one. They are moderately water (splash) proof. The waist feels a bit to 'high' but it's okay. I am 31/32 so I bought a 30/32 hoping that the stretchy waist would sort it, but in fact the elasticated strips do not even engage and I actually need to wear a belt, so in other words, to me, **the waist has a VERY generous fit**, maybe I should have bought a 28/32. Anyway, I bought these for cycling (perfect!) but now I am using them all day long. I would definitely recommend these pants for everyday use especially in summer, or even in winter with some leggings.PS I am editing my review because I got annoyed from the super sticky Velcro on the four pockets, it actually requires some force to open them (and lots of noise so everyone knows I am pulling my wallet out). I put some small Velcro strips to partially cover the Velcro. I have also sewed shut the inside pockets in the leg pockets so I can slide in my tablet and stuff easily without obstruction. In fact I find these pouches inside the legs pockets a bit annoying (not all of us carry pistol magazines after all). The only disappointment is that as per photo, the 30" waist is actually a 32".

GREAT QUALITY AND ROBUST
I have been looking for a pair of work trousers for ages. I get reasonable use out of my usual go to brand especially when you consider I crawl around is voids and small spaces where normal cotton style work trousers are easily ripped.Reading the reviews I decided on getting a pair of these and to be honest I wasn't expecting the quality to be so good. These trousers are well put together, the stitching is excellent and the material very robust. They seem to shed dirt and dust too. I was surprised by the quality finish so much so I ordered another pair a few days later. The material holds up well, has slight stretch increasing comfort and has more than enough pockets should you need them. They feel like they will outlast any trousers I have used before. I'm really impressed.

It's like trousers evolved... and gained superpowers!
It is hard to put into words how brilliant these trousers actually are.I own several pairs, and they're basically the only trousers I ever wear now!The pockets etc. you can see in the photos and get more info on from the description... what's important about this review is that the QUALITY is spot on!The zipper is YKK (made in Japan) and your fingers would probably break long before the zip ever would... not that you will need to put that much effort into zipping/unzipping these trousers, as YKK zippers are well known for their smooth action. The crotch is gusseted, and reinforced. For those of us who spend a lot of time working in the forest, where squatting, crouching and lunge-like movements are the norm, this is a godsend! I cannot tell you how many pairs of cheap generic trousers I've busted the crotch on just because they weren't designed with practicality in mind. They have elastic reliefs on the waist (two, one on either side) which allow you to move them around more easily when you need to... yet the elastic is incredibly high-grade and doesn't sag, so they always return to a snug fit. They also have about twice as many belt loops as typical trousers, which means your belt won't bust a loop no matter the load you're carrying on it (those of us in the forest carry knives, machetes, axes on loops, folding saws in sheaths etc on our belt when they're in use). The buttons at the waist are brilliantly sewn, and despite constant use they show no signs of slacking or weakening. The fit is spot on for boots, they aren't tight anywhere, nor do they sag anywhere. It's as though they were tailored just for me... and assuming you buy the correct size for yourself, I'm betting you'll feel the same when you put yours on!The material they're made of does indeed stop the propagation of tears/cuts (I had the misfortune of catching the knee on one of my pairs with the tip of my knife... and while it did of course cut through the outer layer, the cut is tiny and has not propagated in any direction). The knees allow you to insert pads (and apparently - though I've yet to try - the butt has room to insert a pad too). They are coated so that they resist water and grime... so I strongly advise against using any fabric conditioner on them when washing! If you notice the coating losing effect, buy a spray bottle of proofing for breathable fabrics and follow its instructions to reproof them. My first pair still haven't needed reproofing... and I've been using them extensively for a year! They're tough enough to withstand the trials of the great outdoors, yet smart enough to appear before Her Majesty at Whitehall should the need ever arise.Whether you work in an office or with an axe in the great outdoors... you will LOVE these trousers!

Fantastic
My second pair of these. Got the first for outdoors and bushcrafting activities, like them so much I’ve now got a pair for work. They fit perfectly, my waist measures 34”, bought the 34” and perfect! They have enough stretch to keep things comfortable whatever you’re doing and more pockets than any reasonable man can use. Hard wearing material that I expect to last a long time and very securely put together. Highly recommended.

OMG... Unbelievable...
Amazing product. I purchased it for the bicycle mainly but I love it so much that I also wear it on my every day use. In fact, I will be ordering more in different colours. The material is extremely good quality feeling and very strong. The pockets are technically all over the pants. I like those pockets on the legs with a divided and a full size in fornt ot each other so you can chose which ever you prefer. Also the small pocket on the side I use it for my keys, amazing, they safely fit as it is deep enough.Just be careful with the size. I am using W32/H32 pants, jeans, etc. so I ordered same size. It is fine but honestly almost too big because of the expandable stretchy design. So some of you might wanna go with one size smaller and most probably still would be just fine. Basically if you get your actual size, it is gonna be more leisure, if you go one size down, then it will be somewhat more tight. But overall it is beyond anything. A bit on the expensive side but I think it is still worth. I just wish there was some promo as buy 2 get 3 or some sort of discount.

The Best
Awesome trousers. I think they are the only 5.11 trousers that fit a normal sized butt. Most 5.11 trousers fit very poorly if you don't have a big butt. The side combat pockets are just at the right height. By that I mean with them being higher than other manufacturer's pockets, stuff you put in them does not swing around as much and they are also easier to open without leaning over to one side to reach the pocket. They also have a slightly elasticated waist to allow for a changing waistline or for more latitude on sizing accuracy. All in all a fantastic pair of trousers. Just a little too expensive to have enough pairs.

Worth it
I have used and abused many trousers in my life these have easily been the strongest, and very comfortable, I bought the slightly larger size and wear belts to give flexibility when moving and can still preform high kicksDownside is these are purely summer weight, they are okay in low temperature but when it gets to full winter you need long John's for sure

Repeat purchase - they are great!
My second pair of these pants and they are simply terrific. A good fit for me at 32x36 with a bit of stretch in the waist if I overeat a bit... Hard wearing, fast drying and pretty smart for fatigue type pants. Highly recommended!

Excellent Tactical Pants
Always been a fan of 511 Tactical Pants, but always felt a little baggy, so thought of trying these Stryke Pants out, and they are such a great improvement on not only quality, but in a great fit as well, a lot slimmer on the legs and backside area, having the stretch fabric, these are pretty much faultless. They are comfortable and feel extremely well made. Will certainly be ordering more.

Not water-resistant!
Had first real test of waterproofness today on a short walk in fairly light and on-and-off rain - let water through within around half an hour... V disappointing as Teflon is supposed to be waterproof. These seem good in other respects, though could be thicker for bramble/thorn resistance. Bought primarily for heavy-duty all-weather gardening, so would not recommend for this.

Best work trousers ever
I can honestly say these are the best work trousers I have ever worn, comfortable, hard wearing, loads of pockets, smart and practical. I would highly recommend these to any one in Police, Security, Military areas.

Good looking and comfortable
Takes some time to get used to as they're pretty tight (still flexible though), but once you're there, it's a great pair of pants. The only little nibble is that the cargo pockets are a bit hard to use. They are pretty narrow and the split compartments inside make it harder to put like a wallet in them. Either way, would definitely recommend.

Great fit, super comfortable!
I'm a tall guy and these were perfect - great cut and extremely comfortable in active environments. I have a 36" waist, but had to go for the 38" waist to get my thighs to fit comfortably, despite the stretchy material, but the waistline design means that it doesn't just crumple up and look terrible, perfect!
