Listening to the Language of the Bible Companion Bible Study

I purchased this book after I had read "Sitting at the Feet of Jesus" by Lois Tverberg. This book is a good introductory book and won't overwhelm you if you are knew to this type of material. It will just wet your appetite for more and more and more Hebrew insights into the "Language of the Bible". The companion study guide is great for small groups to introduce them to this area of study. I started this journey after returning from my first trip to Israel and realizing that I had been missing something in my studies. I began to wonder why basically nobody ever taught about the Jewish culture and language of Jesus that gives greater insight into the whole Bible.

I had the amazing privilege of speaking with Lois Tverberg last year. This woman is amazing and a tremendous blessing to the body of Christ. I have every single book that she has written. This one is great because it gives you bite-sized chunks of information to read and then apply to your daily Bible reading. Highly recommend this and every book that she has written or edited.

This really was a good thing for us to buy because it allowed us to discuss more than what we got just reading the book. It helped us to really think about how the meaning of the world really changed the meaning of what we read and how much more impactful it is. There are about 4-5 questions per chapter that really help you put the chapter you just read and apply it to other areas of scripture as well as to your own life and how it changes how you think.

If you are a student of the Bible then this adds so much understanding and should be in your library
