Like many people since COVID, our small bedroom has become a WFH office complete with desk and office chair.Unfortunately the carpet is less happy about having a 6’3” ex-rugby player rolling around on it and was starting to show serious signs of distress.I had looked for a carpet protector a few weeks ago and the best I could find at the time were the hideous clear plastic ones. I didn’t commit at the time but with the carpet now looking more like felt than carpet in patches, I then spotted this.The first thing you will notice is that it is reassuringly heavy, this is no simple mat.Once out of the box and in place, it looks like an attractive, thick mat. It’s only when you stand on it, or sit on a chair with wheels and go wizzing across it, that it’s actually impressively rigid. Even with my 95(ish)kg sitting on an office chair with 5 small wheels, it shows little sign of any flex or movement.Yes, at around £100 it’s not cheap, but it looks good and is perhaps twice price of other ugly alternatives, which definitely aren’t as strongly made. Also it’s not expensive compared the the cost and inconvenience of having to remove desk, wardrobes and shelves from a room and replace the carpet, especially as any replacement flooring will still need protection anyway.Highly recommended.

certainly worth the huge price from the first month of using it. Chair moves effortlessly. Sturdy feel - no expected cracking / rippling. but above all, it looks so stylish and less 'corporate office-y' in our home office whilst protecting the new carpet underneath. It is very expensive compared to other office chair mats, but if you can get past that price tag, you'll not regret it. A fabulous quality product. If it helps, think: buy cheap, buy twice. I would expect many years of use from this product

I have got 2 of these, one in each size. They are brilliant. VERY solid. Ought to be for the price! I bought my 2 mats 1 year apart. The first mat was a bit faded by the time the second one arrived, but I guess thats life.The mat bends in the middle (there are 2 solid slabs) and arrived folded. The underside is non-slip. It won't move.

This is a very sturdy matt that is great for looking after a carpet when you have a chair on top of it. There's a good pattern on the matt to make it merge into a home office without making it look just like...an office.The matt is heavy and solid. It folds in half for shipping. It has grips underneath it so it will not move. The top is hard and easy to roll the wheels over.Looking at other options on Amazon this seems to be the only option that looks good. The others are all clear plastic that do not look good. It does have a good hard surface so looks like it will last.

These are ideal for thick and deep carpet. They are extremely high quality and don't move around. Well worth the money. They also look very nice and smart.

This mat is heavy, it stays in place on a carpeted floor and works really well for an office chair. It’s a hard surface so not particularly comfortable for bare feet but no worse than say laminate flooring for that.Having previously used a spare piece of carpet to protect the floor this is in a different league for usability and I do regret not buying sooner. the cost is a little off putting, but it is a high quality product.

I have a thick pile carpet with alot of insulation underneath in an office at home - so very spongy. Initially I bought one of those plastic mat thingys with spikes that claimed they were good for thick pile carpets (and were also expensive). The plastic mats were absolutely terrible so if you have a medium to thick pile carpet dont bother with them. One month in and cracks began to appear. Two months in, massive cracks. Three months in and the bloody chair broke through with a loud crack like a ship on ice.Was nervous this product might be the same but its absolutely FANTASTIC!!! I only have it 2 weeks so cannot speak on durability, but its just as if my chair is sitting on a floor - a floor with a beautiful moroccan, mosaic design. It comes folded in half but you dont see the join when you fold it out and the fact you can fold it in half makes it easy to move somewhere else, if so desired. Wish I had not wasted my money on other items. I was just about to rip the carpet off the floor and am now so glad that I didn't as it is a new carpet (just bought a house). I ended up buying 2 of them. The purple one is a slightly different shade to the other one, as if it might have been exposed to sunlight. But from experience, this slight color difference will likely even itself out over time in the same environment. And I am so happy with this product that even if it doesnt even out, I really don't care!! If you have medium to thick pile carpet, please dont waste your time on other products.

It does seem a lot of money to pay out. However, having had a succession of polycarbonate mats fail rather quickly I decided to give this a go. So far it's been brilliant. We use it on a medium pile carpet and it stays put (that's a first over anything we've tried before). It's also very heavy (which is a probable reason it doesn't move). I don't know how well it will wear but so far it's great. It's definitely cheaper than having to replace the carpet which would look shabby quickly if it wasn't protected

Nicht ganz billig der Spaß. Aber ich Zahl das Geld weil's der Frau gefällt. Es ist eher wie ein aufklappbares Brett, das sich als Teppich tarnt. Aber man sieht den Knick kein bisschen, es fühlt sich angenehm an und vor allem erfüllt es seinen Zweck perfekt. Es rutscht kein bisschen, der Bürostuhl rollt super drauf und es sieht unendlich edler aus als diese billigen transparenten Plastikunterlagen auf denen der Stuhl mehr schlittert als rollt.

Bought it because I didn't want a normal plastic carpet matt. This one is just perfect and looks great also in the room. I have a very thick carpet in my office room and didn't think it would work but the carpet matt works great.I have been using it for a month now and did not see any wear and tear.I wish it was available a bit cheaper but can't complain if it lasts for a couple of years.Overall very satisfied.

I've had this mat for about 2 months now. It's comfortable to use, easy to move, and very solid. My chair wheels don't slide or roll too easily, but will still roll very nicely when you want to move. I'm using it on plush carpet and haven't had any problems with it yet. It's so much better than any kind of plastic mat!Only time will tell if it can last for the long term. The obvious weak point is the centre fold, this will definitely deteriorate over time and be the first thing to go. I will try to ensure I don't have the chair wheels dig in near the fold. Either way I estimate it will last at the very least 2 years. If it last more than 4 years I'll be very happy with it.

Just delivered, much quicker than promised. Surprised at how relatively "heavy" and sturdy the product is. I am currently living in a rental and using this product on carpet, but wanted something that can be used on hard wood in case I need that later. This will perfectly do both - I have set it up and it grips the carpet underneath and doesn't move around. It is thick enough that the chair's wheels don't sink into it, in fact it feels like a hardwood floor underneath! also the wheels move around easily for when you need to get in and out of the chair, but also stay in place as much as you want ie it isn't slippery like some of the cheaper PVC mats. Great product, very happy!
