I wanted to make sure this scooper/stirrer/scraper wouldn't fail me after many uses, so I waited until I had owned and beat up on it it for about a year before writing this review. After a year of using it for everything from getting the last of the peanut butter or honey out of the jar, to spreading frosting, to making scrambled eggs, to being the one and only tool I need to make homemade chocolate fudge, it looks and feels just like new. It's better than a butter knife for scraping the last bits of anything gooey out of cans or jars because it has more surface area, has a slight amount of give to deal with irregularly shaped cans or jars, and is much easier to scrape off and clean than a metal knife. It's also more comfortable to hold in my hand vertically - knives are basically made to be held horizontally while this is great as a stirrer - or in any other application where you are holding it more or less straight up and down. In fact, when I make homemade fudge I use it to get all the sweetened condensed milk out of the can, then I use it to stir the fudge while it is cooking, and then to get the fudge out of the pot and lay it out to cool. So much more efficient than multiple spoons and knives! It cleans up easily even from very sticky things - just dish soap and warm water. I haven't tried putting it in the dishwasher because by the time I rinse it off, it is so clean it seems pointless to do anything more than let it air dry before I use it again. Medium high stove heat doesn't seem to bother this tool at all, and because of its shape and (slight) "give"/flexibility it does a much better job than spoons as a stirrer for keeping things from getting stuck to/burnt on the bottom of pots. It feels like I can really get at the bottom of a potful of anything thick (like fudge) and avoid the hotspots I seemed to get when I used spoons for this purpose. The purple color is an added bonus - a fun way to brighten up all kinds of kitchen chores. If I could only have one tool for all kinds of food preparation, this would be it.

Definitely one of the cooks best friends in preparation department! I have a few of these, which come in real handy.

I can not stand to throw away a jar with good product still in there and now with this, I do no have to. I have had no problems with anything sticking to it and it cleans up like a dream!

So much easier than using a regular spoon to clean out the last bit of food from a jar like marinara sauce, even soup cans, basically anything where some or half of the food is stuck to the bottom of the can or jar.

Versatile, sturdy — a tool I use almost daily. (This is my second purchase. First one is fine but sometimes it’s nice not to stop and wash it for making a second dish.)

This is a great spatula. I had one & local Sur La Table where I had purchased it years ago had closed during pandemic!I won’t be without it . Thus I bought another . Perfect for jars & spreading . Everyone should have one!

My mom-in-law liked mine so much I got her one as a stocking stuffer gift last year.The scoop end is what makes it the best jar cleaning tool. Peanut butter, jams, spaghetti sauce - the list is long. Good to the last scoop!!

I was gifted one of these years ago, it finally broke after a decade of use. Was so happy to find it on Amazon to replace. Hands down one of my #1 used utensils for baking etc.

This is a great all around item for the kitchen I think everyone should have one! This was my daughter's favorite xmas stocking gift!

Love these use them all the time. Have had some for years and still work well. I buy them for gifts often.

A little long for it’s purpose, could just have been one ended, more like their jar spatula.
