Purchased to light coals for a smoker. This thing is a beast. No more need to wait 1/2 hr for coal to ignite with fire starter in a chimney. Just blast the coals while in the firebox with this sucker. Good product!

This is so much better than those smaller half plastic ones in the store with a built in igniter. No leaks. Puts out really good flame and it's longer for starting fires at a slightly safer distance. All stainless steel so it'll outlast my lifetime. Electric igniter works well too.

I bought this to light the charcoal for my grill. It is used with Coleman like propane tanks and even came with an a separate ignition device.

I already had 1-pound propane cannisters as I am sort of a prepared "survivalist" if you will. See, I lived through Texas' February blizzard...5 days without power in 20 degree weather. At that time I didn't have a propane camp stove or a propane heater. I do now! But that's just a part of the story. So with the 1-pound propane cannisters on hand, this torch made sense to me for working with the resin countertops I've been creating in my home. Both bathrooms and the counters/island in the kitchen. I can't afford expensive marble slabs or anything like that, but I can create resin countertops that look like marble! If you've worked with resin, though, you know that it needs to have bubbles removed and the fastest/best way to do that is to use a torch to quickly heat and pop the bubbles. This torch attaches to my 1-pound propane bottles perfectly. I have several of the electronic lighters (the ones with "lightning" crossing the two poles) and use one of them to light the torch once attached to the propane tank. Sweep the torch across the resin pour, watch the bubbles pop and then wait for the resin to set. But without this torch, my resin countertops would be riddled with bubbles making them ugly and less structurally sound.

This converts any standard threaded top, (usually 16oz./1 lb.) propane canister into a torch, for lighting a BBQ, charcoal, campfire, etc.Comes with a little igniter to light the torch.Nifty.

Good product to start a fire, very hot burning.

Purchased this to use as a fire starter for campfires. This thing really packs a kick and huge strong flame. Reminders me of a small tiger torch. Well worth the cost. Would recommend to anyone.
