I have caught several trout on this. I have caught trout on this while others around me using other lures/bait have not. Great lure.

Rooster tails catch just about everything.
I bought my first Rooster tail as a kid in a Vermont country store. It was a Silverish Blue & had a silver blade and was 1/8oz. I caught fish left and right on that spinner. We had a place on a Lake and i fished day and night. That Rooster tail caught Rainbow trout, smallmouth, Perch and Largemouth.. lots Pickerel. Trolling, casting and some jigging the Rooster tails spinners are one of the best, if not THEE best spinner i have ever fished. I like the 1/8 & 1/6oz size, but i have heavier Rooster tails also. These days i mostly throw Rooster tails for Trout & Smallmouth. In my experience the Brass blades model work best. I have had REALLY good success with the Black Glitter & Rainbow Trout colors.Amazon has some of the best prices and i stock up often.Tight lines.

Blue is the way to go on clear water
Nothing biting in clear stream.on sunny day until i.put this darker lurer one. Blade has a blue edge so when it spins the blade is no longer bright silver.

Cool, but quirky
I find that the way the spinner is set around the center of the lure it doesn't spin very gracefully, I've had three different sizes of this lure and experienced the same issue with all three, the spinner mount is so loose around the axel it is swiveling around it can get caught in awkward positions and stop spinning, resulting in a dead lure just being dragged. If you're careful you can avoid it but you really have to manage these things as you let them out to troll, witness that the spinner is working and let it go very smooth, and jerky interruption and the spinner can get hung up and just stall, WAY more than any other spinner I've experienced.
