I was very hesitant to venture into the realm of rattan and cane but I watched a couple of DYI videos about using cane and rattan . It is si much easier than I thought it would be. I am glad that I made a couple of small articles to get an idea of how to proceed with the basic process involved with the bascis. I learned a few things: Cut the rattan to size before you soak it. Use very sharp shears not lightweight scissors. And mark the cut lines with a easily visible marker and a ruler to guide you. Staring intently at a grid while you cut can be deceiving to the eyes and cause you to cut off target. I initially ordered the rattan in the 14 inch size then found there was a wider width available which wuold allow le to enlarge the scope of my project. I am pleased with the results of my practice projects and i think that the results are more than worth the time and effort that has gone into them. If you have not used rattan before I recommend you check out the videos online as there is a lot of good tips and project ideas

Love this. I do all types of crafts so I have a ton of things to do. This was easy to do and I used this as a backing of a book case. It looks great and I love the natural look and feel of it.

The media could not be loaded. These Rutten with it is very nice but I am a little confused because on the picture looks tighter and when I’m actually looking at it the webbing looks wider and looser so I am not sure if this is how it was supposed to be but overall I love it and I am excited to try it on my next project, the material is great and you can get it in mini sizes depending on the project size.

I have been doing cane work for 20 years andit seems the quality of the can deteriorates anualkly.

The media could not be loaded. It’s definitely advisable to soak this in the bathtub for about 30 minutes before you use it. I used it for some door prints on a very bland, looking sideboard that I bought on Wayfair. I also lightly spray-painted the rattan after it was soaked but before it was completely dry. The only reason it was difficult to work with for me is because I was trying to hot glue gun it onto the front of the doors, since I never worked with it before. In hindsight, I would probably have taken the center of the doors out and then applied the Rattan from the backside With staples.

The color of the actual product is completely different than the pictures. It is a very bleached yellowish white. Not at all what is featured on the page. Buyers be ware.

This rattan (caning) is gorgeous. The weave is really tight and it came nicely rolled. The project I planned to use it for didn’t work out, but I will find another use for this!! The color is so pretty. I’ve done several rattan projects and this is some of the nicest I’ve seen for the price. Just make sure you soak it in water prior to install and have it either clamped on both sides or use a spline track so it doesn’t pull back when it shrinks up after dried. Very high quality rattan!

I used this for a backing behind shelves on a bar for which it is well suited.

This was free most affordable cane webbing I could find, and was worried because the measurements were almost exactly what I needed in this roll. There was extra, as the width ended up being 26" so it was perfect.I did have to unroll it the day prior and have it sit under some weight so that using it the following the day didn't seem difficult. Once said and done, I did read you could put this in water to cooperate better with you.I'll be repurchasing for further projects for sure.It even came earlier than stated delivery date as well.
