Professional quality boom arm, nice design, easy adjustments
I purchased this to replace a cheaper boom mic arm that I was using and to upgrade the overall aesthetics to my battlestation. The packaged arrived quickly and packaged extremely safely for safe transport. I was pleasingly surprised by the sheer size and protective packaging (see photo).I used this boom mic arm in conjunction with my Maono RGB cardioid mic.The arm is much beefier and stronger than my basic boom mic arm that I was previously using. My mounting situation is quite different than most scenarios. I mounted the boom arm by drilling into the steel panel on the side of my MWE battlestation. This was the most secure solution for mounting it in my situation. The boom arm has the ability to also mount it by a "C" bracket style screw-compression. It can easily fit thicker desks but thin desks require it to be mounted the drill method. Each bend angle on the arm has a thick screw adjustment to tighten tension or loosen it. The boom arm also incorporates wire management within the arms. Although pictured, there is no nady pop filter included, I simply utilized my old one on the new arm.The arm also has the ability to adjust the panning tension by screwing the circular base left or right. In my angled scenario this was not enough tension to counter gravity, however my specific situation is most likely extremely limited.Overall I really like the design and functionality of this boom mic arm. It possesses all the features I required and aesthetically looks professional and modern.Based on value, aesthetics, and functionality, I would definitely recommend this to others.

I expected more given the price range.
The C-clamp base is too short making this product loose points on stability and sturdiness. The tension adjustment is mediocre, and will most likely loose tension over time. The low quality plastic wire columns on top of the boom arm do not conceal or hide the wire USB wire that came with it, it seems like it's meant for a much thicker wire. The base itself is plastic and comes with an optional screw that you can drill through desk for added stability. However, drilling a screw into a desk takes away from their main selling point, which is the C-clamp. Moving the boom arm is not as smooth as I expected, in fact it is very inconsistent. for only $20 more, you could buy one that is much better. Only reason I'm not returning it is because I'm much too lazy and content with this mediocre boom arm.

Did not work with my mic
This boom did not work with my mic. After leaving a poor review the company reached out, got my mic information, had me send video of what happens when the mic is mounted. This company went above and beyond to do the research on my problems so that they can improve on their product. This company showed that they genuinely care about their customers and their product and that’s more than I can say about any other company I’ve ever ordered from before.

Good product for the price.
Got this to upgrade my home office setup for remote work (lots of MS Teams calls). Easy setup and the clamp to table is pretty robust as is whole unit - with simple cable routing. There is not quite as much range of adjustment as some other designs but worth the tradeoff for solid mounting. Overall pleased with it.

ITS MISSING PIECES
I bought this last week and it arrived today without the metal piece so I couldn’t hook my mic on it and it hit me in the face when I was turning it because of the hydraulics pushing up so fast.

Solid Boom Arm for a Great Price
The media could not be loaded. Welcome to another Dad's Den review. My reviews and star ratings are all based on price compared to quality. I have realistic expectations for lower priced items vs higher priced items. With that being said, here is my review. See Video Review as well.I recently purchased the new Maono PD400X Podcasting microphone, which is a larger professional style mic. So I needed to upgrade my boom arm to hold the weight. This boom arm fit perfectly with my mic and perfectly with my budget. You can expect a professional boom arm with this one. Love it.

Don‘t Buy it
The microphone arm initially made a good impression. High-quality table clamp, practical channel for cable management and looks stable. Unfortunately, after a few days of use the wire cord running inside ripped and the microphone arm can no longer be properly fixed. it's a design flaw. Since this thin wire cord is actually constantly under tension, sooner or later it will simply lead to material fatigue. It's really a shame. Do not buy and save your money

One of the best quality boom arms I've used. Would be worth it at twice the price.
I selected this maono microphone boom arm to pair with my maono PD400X dynamic microphone. That's a rather heavy microphone, but this boom arm holds it up no problem. I've used 10+ boom arms in the past 8 years and this is the only one that doesn't have what I call microphone creep, where the microphone slowly drops lower and lower throughout the interview.I'm also impressed by the concealed dampening spring. So many other boom arms vibrate when you bump or move the microphone and that simply isn't the case here.Setup was straightforward and I love that it has a 360-degree swivel. This arm is an absolute steal at $85. Given the features and quality of the construction, it'd still be worth it at twice the price.Rating: 5 stars. Highly recommended.
