It works, and the shipping was fast.
For what it was, it is a working product and I had NO issues with the item itself as a whole or the seller. My personal opinion was it was not an ideal training product for OUR dog. She is very timid as it is and I would like her to behave the way we need out of respect and trust and not fear. However, we did have another dog and we bought this EXACT one and it worked wonders! He was hyper and bad-tempered and this was needed to instill a sort of dominance on him because he did not listen at all. So the product will work wonders DEPENDING on the dog you have and what direction you're trying to take in your training.

50% do not work
I have owned 4 of these and only 2 worked upon receipt. The item is not sealed so its hard to tell if its new or used when received. The 2 that did work were very good and lasted at least 2 years. I kept ordering this brand due to its small controller size. I only use the vibrate mode and this had the option of changing vibration strength where others do not. I will be trying other brands from now on - tired of the 50:50 odds.

Has all of required functionality
The controls on the remote are there they are just a bit more difficult to use compared to other units I have used and the collar is simply charged and turned on.

The best and most humane training collar for the money!
WE have a 2-3 year old male beagle mix "JACK" that has (had) a mind of his own. He'd go crazy around any kind of other dogs, especially males. Often initiating growling, teeth and even attacking other dogs. He would never respond to commands or come when called - A mind of his own!We ordered this collar training system after careful research and reading all the accidental shocking, burning and pain caused to other dogs using other collars and systems. This collar system makes it near impossible to accidentally shock a dog and is very simple to use. There are 3 different modes 1. Sound (beep) 2. Vibration (no shock) 3. Static Shock. The vibration and static shock modes can be set from 0 to 100 %. We always use the sound when we call Jack to come to us. If he doesn't (seldomly now), then we use a medium vibrate and he always comes to that. We only used the static shock on 2 occasions. Once when he was attempting to get aggressive and the other was when he ignored the beep and vibrate mode. The shock was only set at 40% and got an immediate obedient response. We haven't used the static shock in over a month now and also seldom use even the vibrate mode. But Jack is smart and if we don't put his training collar on when he goes out, he knows it. Thus he knows we don't have that control and gets his own mind back again. So that will be a future transition training that will have to be done. The setup is a little confusing, but if you stick with the step-by-step instructions it is doable. One word of caution: the controller can be setup for two different collars. So each time before you put the collar on use the beep mode to make sure it is set to the appropriate #1 or #2. (We forgot to do this once and Jack didn't respond to anything until we discovered we had accidentally switched it to collar #2 so nothing was being sent to his collar.)Last, but not least, the chances for accidentally shocking from the receiver being in your pocket are extremely remote unless you are fiddling with the buttons in your pocket. It has an automatic sleep (neutral) mode and we always set the mode to sound for initial response. No horror stories of burning holes in your dog's neck or torturing them with non stop unsolicited shocking. This a very humane training tool! This system was very affordable and our best money spent!

ZAP YOURSELF FIRST!!
YOU, THE CUSTOMER, MUST USE THIS ON YOURSELF before putting this on your pet. The power level is adjustable and you may think that because you have a larger dog that you need to start somewhere in the middle of the power level. This is not true. I put this on 15 out of 100, put it in my palm and boy, it lit me up! I'm 240 pounds, so imagine what this will do to your animal. On that low level it was strong enough to cause my hand to constrict around the device. I took it down to 5/100 the one time I did have to zap my dog. My 56 pound pit bull never made such a sound, and flopped around at the end of my leash for a second in a way that made my heart hurt, especially as he jumped up and tried to run away from this phantom pain. That being said, he stopped being aggressive and walked properly for the final 150 feet of our adventure. The intensity of this collar could lend itself to some very disgusting human behaviors, and you may be harming your animal unnecessarily if you don't understand the power level yourself.Don't ever leave this, or any shock collar, on your dog when you're not actively walking outside. It's not safe and is intended for intermittent application on your animal.I gave this 4/5 for ease of use for two reasons. Overall, it works great and is a good value, but I don't like how I had to match the controller with the collar, because I first thought it didn't work at all, and I don't understand the light mode. It has a flashlight button on the remote that works great, but one of the collar modes you select is a light mode, and I can't figure out what it does at all. Keep in mind that you need to charge the remote and the collar separately, for at least six hours each before your first use.

Small is HUGE and no charger for the collar.
Arrived on time. After charging the controller for over 6 hours as per the instructions written by the same guy that put the Gettysburg address on a grain of rice (I had to use reading glasses and a magnifying glass, but still had trouble reading them), the next step was to charge the collar part for another 6 hours. This is the point at which, in slowly reading the next step in teeny, tiny print, I came to the part that says "This is not included charger" for the battery pack. WTH?? Who sells a cordless item without a charger?? In my location it takes over a month to order anything and they want me to buy a separate charger from someone else to charge their product...really? I had ordered the "small" collar that, when it arrived, I found it suitable for a clydesdale or, when tightened to its tightest, a pit bull. I have a minpin. I will never know if the product works, because I just threw it in the trash. Don't buy this product. The company is deceptive and dishonest. This is the first time in my life I have ever given a product a one, but it earned it.
