Masterpieces 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle for Adults, Family, Or Kids - Passing Through - 19.25"x26.75"

The media could not be loaded.  Just for reference I do jigsaw puzzles all the time, avid puzzler, and am always on the hunt for a new type of puzzle. This one stuck out to me because it’s a great summertime theme, the pieces looked like good shapes (nothing too basic or challenging) and I wanted a puzzle a group could do. Well for myself it was frustrating dealing with if pieces did or didn’t fit (they never clicked together - video I posted shows this well). With other folks working on it who maybe didn’t have great eye sight or weren’t a consistent puzzler...it was beyond frustrating. It’s such a shame because I love the picture itself...but the lack of quality really let me down. If the low quality is holding me back on being able to complete the puzzle (whether it’s because when I barely brush up against a full complete section it rips apart...or because I’m not sure if it’s the right piece since it doesn’t feel like it)...big thumbs down. I gave the puzzle 2 stars because the only redeeming quality for that second star was the picture. I’m surprised this puzzle has an overall rating so high. It’s not about quality for price either, I buy puzzles every month and I should’ve known better than to go outside my trusted brands...but the quality for the price is ridiculous here. My guess is some folks buying this puzzle don't realize they could get much higher quality for this price from a different brand.

I am an avid jigsaw puzzler. I don't see why they had to make the pieces so mis-shaped. It took me 2 days of just to get the edges together & I still haven't found one of the edge pieces. The colors are also more dull than I thought they would be. Definitely not going to buy this artist again if these are the kind of pieces they cut. Finally finished after 4 days. Ugh!

This is a sad commentary on what used to be an American company. The box now clearly states "Made in China". Masterpieces was never a first tier puzzler but did provide adequate entertainment without too much frustration. No longer. I recently bought and put together the 1000 piece puzzle, "The Old Filling Station". The first thing I noticed is that the coloration of the pieces was drab and not like the art on the box cover. In addition, the pieces were flimsy and would not adequately interlock. Consequently, finished portions of the puzzle did not stay together while you continued to work. There was also an unacceptable amount of puzzle dust. When I had finished, there were 2 missing pieces. I went to Masterpiecesinc.com and was surprised to find that they would not supply replacements. Other companies are gracious and gladly fill these requests. Well, Masterpieces HAS LOST this puzzler for good. Even though their price point is less than others the quality has deteriorated too much.

Bonnie White's puzzles are even better than Charles Wysocki, in our opinion. They are beautifully colored and have many fun shapes to work with. We love the way the pieces fit together because it isn't one of those where you wonder if it's right. It either fits or it doesn't. They have a nice thickness which make them very easy to work with as well. We just finished the 550 puzzle of Dinner at Grandma's and started this 1000 piece Gallery Millside picnic one today. We are already hooked and can't wait to find a few more pieces. So much fun that we even have our grand kids hooked on puzzles now! An all round great family experience.

It would have been helpful for someone that has twisted fingers like I do from having arthritis and seeing on the puzzle box that these pieces are not only in weird shape forms but some are so small I cannot pick them up with my fingers!!! Just to save the hassle of sending these puzzles back as a return - I gave them away. If I had known they were like that, I would not have purchased them. On the other hand - the pictures of the puzzles were very appealing and would have made a nice picture to hang once the puzzle was put together and then glued.

I really enjoyed doing this puzzle. As some people mentioned, the puzzle pieces are not very traditional and it adds a level of difficulty. For example, for Bungalowville, I had two pieces with flat a flat side I was so sure they were edges, but they were actually in the middle. But I think otherwise it would be very easy puzzle, so I did enjoy the added difficulty. It had a larger photo of the puzzle printed on a paper, which was helpful to see the small details.

This was a fun puzzle but it came with two extra edge pieces which made me wonder if I was going to be short other pieces! I had ordered a different puzzle from this manufacturer which was short two pieces so I was concerned right away when I had extras. Unlike another reviewer who said there is no wondering if pieces fit correctly or not, I found several pieces that seemed to fit, but actually didn’t belong in that spot. I had the sky edge put together which was all blue and white clouds so not really distinguishable in color pattern and had two pieces that fit together but didn’t fit anywhere in the top edge. Only by separating them and searching piece by piece did I find where these two actually fit in the edge. I have over 70 puzzles and am pretty good at putting them together so I found this rather odd. I never have this problem with Buffalo Games puzzles. The actual puzzle was fun and didn’t take long to put together.

there was one piece missing from the puzzle. It was not me. I order two other puzzle from your company 1 . Passing through 2. On the Boardwalk 3. The old Filling Station. One it could have been me but all three with one piece missing. You have a control problem at the factory. I will not buy your product again, and I will tell people not to buy any of your puzzles. very unhappy customer

Fun puzzle to work on. Bright colours, the pieces are nice and thick with minimal puzzle dust and easily identified. Love it!

Excellent puzzle with very nice details. Colors are beautiful. A lot of the pieces are oddly shaped and appear as though they won't fit but they do (which increases the challenge). No pieces missing. Highly recommended.

Les pièces s'emboîtent mal. Je n'achèterai plus cette marque. J'ai essayé d'autres marques dans les mêmes prix et qui sont de meilleures qualité.
