It heats up really well. Straightens great. Don’t recommend to use it on wet hair as it does smell like it’s burning. But all in all it is great

I don't think this would work very well on very curly hair like it depicts. I have a slight wave pattern, but otherwise my hair is thin, but sometimes gets very frizzy. This brush glides through effortlessly and did tame my frizz. It made my hair straight but not as sleek and smooth as a typical flat iron would. I didn't feel any heat on a mid setting, so I would feel comfortable letting my daughter use this on her own. No risks for burns.

This brush is magical! It’s perfect! My daughter has 4C texture and all it took was one pass! I didn’t want it super straight just workable, best part is my daughter did not get burn, and I was super close to her scalp! This is perfect for kids! And adults too lol

Unfortunately this brush did not work for me. I feel that it will only help someone with really long hair and mine is only shoulder length. I had to return it. My quest continues.

It takes a bit to heat up. I bought it to curl my hair instead of straightening it, and it works.
