I purchased some books for my students for a Christmas book exchange. I looked for affordable, sturdy books so some of my underprivileged students could participate in the book exchange, but also not put too much financial strain on me at Christmas. They were very affordable, displayed cute illustrations, and the kids loved them.

Our whole family enjoy this series of food group books and decided to get this one just before Christmas. I am very pleased with the message of this story and it is a great one to share with little ones. Letting them know it is the thought and efforts that count and presents don't have to be grand and expensive. I would recommend this book.

This is such a cute story! It doesn't mention a holiday specifically, so it can be used to teach kids about giving gifts from the heart during any holiday.

Our family loves the food group series by Jory John. This one did not disappoint! We liked the stickers (two full sheets on perforated-edged pages), the hard cover binding, the illustrations by Pete Oswald, and of course the journey of realization that the Cool Bean goes through in the book. The story takes place during the winter holiday season, and I highly recommend this book to anyone with pre-K or elementary-aged children who celebrate winter holidays, or who have ever been nervous about giving the perfect gift.Great addition to our family library!

My daughter loved this book. It also has a great message for kids that gifts aren’t always about how much you spend and the thoughtfulness of gifts is the most important.

Staple in our bedtime story rotation. Actually fun to read for adults and my 5&3 year old love it.

We have Jory John’s collection. I love that each book has a big idea and teaches kids kindness and empathy.
