I hate phone cases. I hate how bulky they are and how ugly they make phones. I have always used those clear skins (the ones you apply with soapy water) because they make phones much less slippery to hold and add some scratch protection too. Sadly, I simply cannot find any such skin for the Pixel 5a. (I know there are patterned skins out there, but I only want a clear one.) I was just going to go without a skin or case, but like many phones, the Pixel 5a is too slick, which makes it fall out of my pockets easily. I could even see it slipping out of my fingers if I were not careful. So, I figured the next best thing would be an ultra slim clear case. As far as cases go, this one is probably the least ugly one for my tastes. It does fit perfectly and the surface is similar to what I'm used to with a skin, so I'm happy with the improvement in grip. My phone no longer slips out of my pocket. If someone ever releases a clear skin for the Pixel 5a, I'll probably switch to it, but until then, this one will do the job. And it is a great deal at $7!

Fits well, looks good. Protects against minor drops.

This is a pretty standard bumper except it has a less of a lip on the front edge. This meant that when my phone fell face first on a flat surface, the screen broke and was unusable, because there wasn't enough of a lip on the front edge to brace the impact of the fall.
