Varathane Wood Grain Enhancer Quart

I liked this product, very easy to use.

used this on a coffee table im making for myself that I stained with Varathane Ebony (one of the darkest stains out there) and I used the white wood grain enhancer with very little effect at all left behind. I tried on multiple pieces of different types of wood with same result. I popped wood with water, brushed with wire brush, still nothing the only way I see this product working as advertised is with very deep wood grain otherwise, im afraid I wasted my money on this one. big bummer was super excited about this.

I followed directions exactly and the results were terrible. Tried this on a grainy oak. Leaves a lot of what feels likes a waxy dust on the surfaces and makes it very tough to clean for final coating. A lot of extra work for very little effect. Product did not really stay in the grain. I have seen thinned white paint wiped on and off quickly do much better. This stuff is terrible.

Didn’t work at all. Not a fan

This stuff just plain doesn't work. Tried it on several different kinds of both staind and unstained wood per the instructions. I might as well have been applying water to the wood as it does absolutely nothing that it claims it does.
