Tragedy and Hope 101: The Illusion of Justice, Freedom, and Democracy

Enlightening read about who and how rules the world
This is a well-written book. The chapter on money helped me understand how the modern economy works. Other parts of the book filled in the gaps in my knowledge about the Network - I've read some part of the Tragedy and Hope by Carroll Quigley, and here I've found a lot that Quigley didn't cover.

Every Single American Needs To Read and Re-Read This Book!
“I am afraid the ordinary citizen will not like to be told that the banks can, and do, create money…And they who control the credit of the nation direct the policy of Governments and hold in the hollow of their hands the destiny of the people.”—Reginald McKenna, British Chancellor of the Exchequer, as quoted in Tragedy and HopeMany have wanted to read Carroll Quigley’s book Tragedy and Hope because it is so chalked full of information about the New World Order but upon seeing it have seconds thoughts. Carroll Quigley’s original book is over 1300 pages. Most people today don’t have time to sit down and read that information even if they wanted to. Many have tried, and failed. I’ve read the original book. For some reason dry technical information is easy for me to digest but I know many can’t. Even then it took me months to read and by the time I was done I had forgotten more than I had learned. If you want to try you can get the entire book here.Enter Tragedy and Hope 101.This book is like the Cliff Notes for the voluminous original. Joseph Plummer covers the topics in a way that won’t put you in a coma and won’t take months to digest while at the same time holding your attention. To be honest, I wasn’t fond of putting this book down when I had to go and do something else. Needless to say I still finished it in 4 days. The writing style is scholarly yet easily understood by non scholarly minds. Plummer gives great insight as to what is really going on in our world today and who is really in control. Little doubt will be left in your mind by the time you’re done reading this book that what you’ve been told your whole life is nothing more than a lie. What makes this book shine in my mind and what sets it apart from the rest is the fact that Plummer gives solutions where others only tell you the problems and leave you in desperation. Not only does he offer solutions, but they are easy to implement, so much so that almost everybody can take part in the resistance, and this will be crucial if we want to defeat the network.I must issue a warning however. If you are a typical American who thinks your government is legitimate and has your best interest at heart, make sure you are seated and prepare for a very rude awakening. That's just the start of my review. Read my entire review on my Web page TrailerParkPrepper d0t c0m if you search for the book title.

Confirmed my suspicions that a deliberate undercurrent is in play
For at least 25 years or so, I had the nagging feeling that there was more going on than was superficially evident in our political system and the world. Being busy with day to day life, who has time to even contemplate such things let alone look for information, and where would you look anyway? After I retired a few years back I had time to nose around the internet and piece together whatever I could that rang true, There are a lot of crackpot theories out there to wade through but rest assured, the information in this book, while it may be shocking to some, WILL ring true when applied to the world we think we know. This book confirmed much of what I had managed to figure out on my own and added much more depth and specifics. Plummer draws heavily on Carroll Quigley's 1300 page book Tragedy and Hope, some other sources, and makes his own contributions as well, over and above boiling down the massive original. Around 200 pages, written in plain language so even a high school graduate like me doesn't get too bogged down. It's a fascinating read and fairly easily absorbed, especially for someone with some familiarity with the subject. Even so, I expect I will be reading it again soon to reinforce my understanding. Our current political system appears to give us choices but what it really does is keep us divided, fighting among ourselves, dems blaming repubs and visa versa, never seeing the forest for the trees. Ever notice how even though the faces and political party may change, some things never change, no matter how promising the lip service sounded? We would be better served to see through the political theater that divides us and educate ourselves as to what has really been going on in our country and the world. In this book, you will learn the origination of a level of power in the world that began over a century ago, the source of that power, how it operates with impunity, with no commonly accepted restrictions like morality and ethics, it's ultimate goal, and what happened in the early 20th century that supercharged it's influence on events throughout the 20th century up through today. Names are named, and specifics given with advice on where to obtain even more in depth info and steps that can be taken to challenge it's grip. Knowledge is power.

This book makes everything make sense
This book was written before covid and many of are now more awake to what are the real intentions of the hidden ruling class. We are up against a formidable enemy; being naive or trying to keep our heads in the sand is no protection from what is coming next. I agree with the author that even though we may be tempted to think that we can’t personally do anything of consequence; if we were all to do “something” (like read this book and share it with a friend), all those something’s would add up. Please read this book!

An excellent book that serves as a gateway to many avenues
Joseph Plummer has the done us all a favour and worked through Quigley's 1300+ page tome "Tragedy & Hope" and has managed to condense many documented historical events into this sleek book. This isn't supposed to replace Quigley's book but offer an introduction and pointers for further study. I would highly recommend reading this to better understand the political machinations and the names behind some of the last 100+ years of world-changing historical events. Some of the topics discussed include false flags, the pretexts to the world wars, income tax and the Federal reserve system and Gladio's role in taking the lives of innocent Europeans. Well done to Mr Plummer for taking on this gargantuan task and converting it into a digestible format.

Excellent condensed version of the Quigley book.
Tragedy & Hope - A History of The World in Our Time - was written by Carroll Quigley professor of history at the Foreign Services School of Georgetown University. Written in 1966, and removed from circulation a year or so later for revealing too much, it remains legendary for those researching recent world history from the viewpoint of those pulling the strings. At 1300 pages long, it can be a challenge for those with limited time. Tragedy & Hope 101 is a condensed version of Quigley's book. I have both and use 101 to find what I'm looking for and refer to the Quigley book for an in depth analysis. 101 by itself is an awesome eye opener and well worth sharing with friends. The author has done a brilliant job.

Indispensable
