Susan Bates Hoop-La Embroidery Hoop, 6-Inch

I am using these to hold washi tape... so I can’t really give an opinion on its intended usage. But I did order this one online because I wanted a yellow one. I got an orange one. The seller might want to add “color may vary” to the listing for any other weirdos out there like me who have a color preference. But price was good. Shipping a bit slow. And color aside I’m happy I have it!

Basic hoop! Nothing special!

Bates hoops are my favorite to use on embroidery and cross stitch projects. This six-inch hoop is comfortable in my hands, and it holds the fabric securely while I work. The tightening bolt is easy to turn. I received the blue hoop, and am very happy with the value of this purchase.

I bought the "Susan Bates Hoop-La Embroidery Hoop, 6-Inch" based on prior experience with this brand's hoops, but this one is slightly different. I like the ring insert because it keeps the fabric taut but this one has some texture inside the ring that prevents it from gripping as well. I believe this has been discontinued recently and that might be why.

I bought this to try out embroidery, so I can't really say how the hoop stands up to other hoop brands, but it seems to be working for me. If you're picky about the hoop color, I'll just say that the picture is of a yellow hoop, but mine is purple. So if this is to frame a piece of art, look elsewhere. Overall, I'm fairly satisfied with the product.

I got to use as a towel ring in bathroom. It fit on a hook already installed in my apartment next to bathroom sink. Cheap but works and no wall anchors.

Have been searching in the UK for a long time to replace this hoop. Was able to buy at a good price but beware of shipping costs from the USA.

There is nothing wrong with the hoop, however it is orange not yellow so if you are wanting yellow specifically you would be disappointed.

I noticed reviews about the hoops coming with the tightening bolt missing, but mine came with a hard plastic cap on the end of the screw which prevented the bolt from coming loose. (See photo)I have 4 of these hoops, but so far, I haven’t received any missing the bolts.I ordered this 7” hoop as I was recently working on a project and my 6” hoop didn’t give enough working area, and the 8” hoop was just a bit too big for the piece of fabric.

I was seeking embroidery hoops that I could use to display some small swatches of fabric designs in... these are the perfect size and hold the fabric securely in place.

Exactly what I wanted. Arrived quite quickly.
