Almost identical to OEM HF Pressure switch
I have a HF 8 gal compressor that is about 12 years old. Still runs with no problem because even though its 12 years old, I only have about 140 run hours on it so it wasn't used that much. Unfortunately due to its age the valve plate gasket started to deteriorate and started leaking air. I knew there was no way to get a replacement gasket so I probably had to make one and I was going to do that until I ran across this Central Pneumatic pressure switch control. I didn't even know these were available. For $9 and it looked exactly like the one on the original compressor why not? Replacing the pressure switch with the plate gasket already in place would be way faster than having to make a gasket and taking the pressure switch apart. It took about 20 mins to switch everything out. All the connections fit perfectly as long as you use the parts provided. Do not use your original cover (the configuration is slightly different), the strain caps for the wiring (threading depth is different) and the compression sleeve for the unload pipe (collar is different length) everything else fit perfectly. I saw some reviews complaining that there were no instructions. There are no instructions required because the wiring is simply to put it back in exactly the same place that you took it off from the original pressure switch. Its like for like and just logic. There are only 3 wires on either side of the switch (White on top, black on the bottom and green ground to the metal housing. If you don't think you can hook up 3 wires on either side of the switch then you might want to ask someone to help you that has some common sense. Don't forget to put Teflon tape on the threads and wind about 6 wraps because the original switch had dope thread on it and it was really thick so you need to make the wraps a little thicker to compensate. Once the switch was swapped out the compressor ran perfectly with no leaks and shut off at exactly the right max pressure. I didn't have to adjust anything (you can do that if its shutting off too early or at too high a pressure). There's an adjustment screw on the top of the metal frame for that. I can now take my time making a gasket for the original switch which was working perfectly except for the leaky gasket and I'll have a back up just in case this ever goes out. I'll update the review if the switch becomes an early fail.

Exact replacement part
My 1 hp air compressor had starting leaking air around the unloader portion and was causing short cycling of the motor. Searched online and found this pressure control on Amazon. It was an exact replacement so it went on fast and works like new.

Works Great on a Central Pneumatic 95386
This was a perfect replacement for my Central Pneumatic 95386 Compressor. It was easy to install and works perfectly. Seems to be a light duty unit (I prefer things a little stouter) but it works well none the less and it is not like it's on an industrial compressor. I really don't have anything bad to say about the product, it does what it is supposed to. I did chase all of the 1/4" threads with a 304 SS pipe nipple before attempting to install just to clean up any burrs or sticky threads. This made everything go very smoothly together at installation. I consider the .91 cents I paid for the SS nipple a good investment and would recommend that action. Just don't go mogilla gorilla on the SS nipple or you take a chance of splitting the casting on the switch. Just nice and easy with a little WD-40 will do the job. All in all, not bad.

Perfect fit for an old Harbor Freight 4 Gallon Compressor
I had an old Central Pneumatic (i.e. Harbor Freight) 4 gallon twin tank compressor that developed a crack in the manifold that’s built into the pressure switch. The air would slowly leak out and the tank would be emptied within an hour. All the other places I looked for a replacement pressure switch were wanting $30+ and they were a different design and layout than the one I needed for my compressor model. I was about to give up and just throw my compressor into the nearest landfill when I came across this Wadoy brand pressure switch. It was less than $10 and was the same exact size, design, and layout as the original one on my compressor. Installing it was a bit of a chore because my compressor was laid out in a way that there’s not much room to work with in terms of unbolting and disconnecting everything. However, that’s not Wadoy’s fault. After reassembly, everything now works perfect. I would highly recommend this pressure switch to others.
