I purchased a Takeda Corporation Stool, Step, Chair, Entrance Stand, Steel Step Step.My two-step step stool arrived full assembled. It opens and closes very smoothly and easily.Since I am 6 ft 1 in (184 cm) tall with feet to match, I value the size of the wide non-slip steps, 11-1/2 in x 8 in (29 cm x 20 cm), and the stability provided by a sturdy, moderately heavy, tubular steel frame with non-slip plastic feet.I use my step stool for such things as changing ceiling light bulbs and wiping the tops of overhead kitchen cupboards, but a shorter person might find a three-step stool more useful for, say, painting a ceiling.Perhaps the biggest surprise was the slimness of the step stool when folded. Given that I am unlikely to use the step stool every day of the week, it is good to be able to slide it into a storage space no wider than 2-5/8 in (17 cm). Needing such a small space for temporary storage is especially convenient since the step stool is perfectly functional as a step stool but, unlike some other designs and despite the name of the product, the design does not actually allow you to use it as a kitchen stool.
