ASAM Criteria: Treatment Criteria for Addictive, Substance-Related, and Co-Occurring Conditions

Looked around at other similar books and this was in great shape for the price!

They have made the criteria burdensome. I Think it could be much simpler. We need to start trusting each other and trying to spell out a response for every situation.

The previous edition of the ASAM criteria was simple and easy to use. If you needed to find something is was easy to go directly to the page with the information. This volume has no index. It is full of colorful charts that have to be read with extreme care and in detail to find the information you need usually having to wade thru pages to get to the key information. Best to put stickies on the pages you need to look at from time to time otherwise you will spend an inordinate amount of time trying to find it again. This book is an embarrassment to ASAM and serious disservice to the field of addiction treatment

The previous posting is correct. Do Not Buy the ASAM book on Amazon at these prices. $95 if you go to http://asamcriteria.org

These used book places are not giving a fair price...they are 95 bucks on the ASAM site, and if your an ASAM member they are 85...these are huge markups

Not as easy to use as the previous release, over priced and sits on the shelf. .

Keep it a hole!
