You get a box with coated wire and a bunch of brackets and parts, plus instructions. The materials are simple and not very expensive to produce. They are not, however, easily obtained at a local hardware store. The instructions have no graphics, and need more detail. The short video I received as a response to my question would help with installation. I was hoping to use this on the exterior of a window, not for child-protection, but for moderate deterrence of an intruder. I did not expect this to be as secure as bars. but the website shows a man standing on the screen. When I saw the instructions to cut the wire with a pliers, I knew this would not do for my application. I returned the item. My conclusion: If you don't mind paying for something unique and a bit expensive for what you get, and are a patient & willing to take the time to install, this could be a useful purchase. An alternative is just to get coated wire and simple brackets (with a hole the size of the wire) at a hardware store to make a mesh. It won't look as polished as this however.

Missing pieces instructions make no sense

This was not easy to install at all. It does not seem as sturdy as the ad states that it would be. The instructions are not well written and not easy to follow. There is no way to quickly detach it in the event of a fire, which worries me. This is not a product I would recommend at all.
