Not really 100' but still good
It's very light weight and rolls well if you have a hose winder. Fully expanded it's like 85' feet, not 100' but we're only using it for front yard work so that distance is more than fine. My only issue is that any dragging on the concrete driveway frays the cloth wrap so I have no idea if that's going to lead to durability issues or not.

Tore open within the first week - for no reason! A failed product.
For years, this kind of hose was as "As Seen on TV" product on shelves in grocery stores and other markets for $20. They would burst easily and I returned and replaced them over and over again. I learned quickly to never put a nozzle on them because that put pressure on the hose that it couldn't take. Then they came out with a stronger version, like this one, but it was at double the price. It was definitely better. My last one got wrecked some other way, so I set out to find the best new version there was. I searched and compared, read reviews, etc., and this product became my choice.I was excited to get it - there is a portion of my front garden that was formerly a big section of brick, so when the owner removed that structure, it could be used for a garden -- but it is under enough roof that rain doesn't get to it. It has to be hand-watered, especially at the beginning of spring when the plants are just beginning to come alive again after our snowy winters. And the damn hose I'd carefully chosen failed me, and worse, caused an argument with my husband who didn't want money spent on this kind of hose again. Fortunately, Amazon refunded me when I sent this one back, but I was surprised to see, when I searched for a replacement hose, that THIS product's ratings were in the mid 3 star range. For a second I thought, "Wait! I bought something rated that low?!" No, of course I didn't. The ratings had dropped significantly because buyers had received them and they failed. So I am adding my voice to warn potential buyers to look elsewhere.

Just 3-Stars but, I would buy it again. Get a longer length than the box states.
(Item: Xhose Pro Garden Hose, 50 Foot Expandable Garden Hoses, Tough & Flexible Water Hose, Lightweight, Solid Brass Fittings, Kink Free, Easy to Use & Store)I’ve wanted one of these since I first saw the commercials on TV. It seemed like a huge step ahead for hose technology. The expandable hose is pretty cool to use in real life. It lengthens when water is pumped through it. When finished, it shrinks back down as you spray the last bits of water out of the nozzle. Just like on the commercial. And, it's very convenient for storage. I don’t miss the days of having to wind a hose back up.As for length, this 50ft hose can only stretch to about 37 feet comfortably. You may be able to get 1-2 more feet if you’re pulling it tight. But when doing that, you’re definitely putting strain on the faucet valve. So, consider getting a longer hose than what’s labeled on the box.The DAC-5 expanding/contracting fibers work well but, they’re not super durable. On grass, you won’t have any issues. On very smooth-paved concrete, you’ll be fine too. But, if the concrete is even slightly rough (or paved like black asphalt), that’s enough to start snagging/fraying the fibers. Sort of like when you run a Q-Tip over something rough - it starts pulling on the cotton strands. The on/off nozzle at the front of the hose is nice. It lets you control the water pressure easily. Even better if you’re using it with a separate gun-style spray nozzle. The water pressure is good but not great. Easily powerful enough to give a car a good, thorough wash. But, not strong enough to power wash siding or windows. This fit my needs (car washing & watering plants) but, this is not a super durable hose. For that, you’d be looking at either stainless steel, or one made with heavy-duty rubber. Definitely don’t leave this in the sun for weeks. And again, avoid using it on rough surfaces. The appeal of this hose is the expanding/contracting feature.

Very light compared to regular hoses
The main benefit with this hose is that for a 75' hose it's so light and manageable. There is a learning curve with the stretch but it's so much easier to handle that it's worth it. I haven't rated the durability because I've only had it for a short while, but I have a shorter model as well and it's been good for a few years so far. I did find that the weaved material tends to snag on my wooden deck so I am being careful not to drag it.Overall it's money well spent.
