Q: the 6xl what would be the measurements on that size?

I'm A Size 16-18, In Shapewear (Waist Trainer) My Measurements Are 46" Bust & 36" Waist. I Purchased A 2XL Thinking It Would Fit. No Matter How Hard We Tried, My Daughter And I Could NOT Get Me Into It. After Giving Up, My 21 Year Old Daughter Who Wears Size 5/6 With 32A Bust Tried It On... THE CORSET FIT HER PERFECTLY! So... This Is Only A Guesstimate For Me. It Seems As If Their Sizes Are 3× Smaller Than U.S. Sizes. Therefore, I Would Place A 6XL At A U.S. 2-3XL. I Believe That A 6XL Would Fit Me Perfectly. But, I'm Not Going Through The Hassle Of Returning And Reordering. I Just Let My SKINNY & YOUNG Daughter Keep It. **This May Be More Information Than You Needed, But I Hope It Helps.** Mrs. Mills

Q: How comfortable is this to wear for long time periods- for example, is it just for an evening out, or would it be comfortable to wear daily at work?

Well, I have worn it for a few hours at a time, however I was standing for most of it. When sitting, it is a bit uncomfortable because it's so structured so I had to unhook the clasps to breath better  Maybe if you loosened it up in the back (it's a lace up) you could sit more comfortably

Q: So I'm a 42-37-44 and according to the size chart I should get a 1x, how does the product stand up to the size chart, do the two match?

rule of thumb, always go 2 or 3 times bigger than advices on the chart when buying any Chinese brand clothing. I'm a size 19 dress and a 5x fits awesome. Cuz you know it has draw strings

Q: Does the rainbow one have hooks in the the back or lace up?

It has a Zipper on the Side & is Lace up in the Back.. Very Cute & Good Quality Bustier.. i wore it to New Orleans for Mardi Gras.. Had so much fun in it
