NOT OF SAME QUALITY AS THE OLDER ONES
I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN THIS SPATULA AND WISH I HAD NOT ORDERED IT. HAD PLANNED ON BUYING SEVERAL MORE OF THE DIFFERENT SIZES IN THIS COLOR BUT DEFINITELY WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER BY LE CREUST.HAVE HAD ONE OF THE OLDER ONES FOR NEARLY TEN YEARS. IT IS STILL IN GREAT CONDITION; WHILE BLUE, I WANTED SOME OF THESE CARRIBEAN. FIRST, THIS HANDLE IS TOO ROUGH AND UNFINISHED AND NOT A GOOD FEEL TO THE HAND'; THE HANDLE IS JUST PLAIN POOR QUALTITY WOOD. SECOND, THE HANDLE IS WAY TOO SHORT AND NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO WORK WITH; IF YOU WANT TO PUT IT INTO A JAR THAT IS EVEN HALFWAY TALL, FORGET IT. THIS CARRIBEAN COLOR DOES NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO MATCHING THE OTHER CARRIBEAN OLDER PIECES I HAVE IN MY COLLECTION. LE CRUESET QUALITY IS DISAPPOINTINGLY NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE AND I WILL NEVER BUY THEIR PRODUCTS AGAIN. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE. THE OLDER LE CREUSET ITEMS I HAVE COLLECTED OVER THE YEARS ARE EXCELLENT QUALITY ITEMS THAT I WOULD GLADLY BUY AGAIN, EVEN AT THE UPSURD ESCALATED PRICES, BUT THESE CHEAPER QUALITY ITEMS ARE NOT WORTH EVEN PUTTING IN A TRASH CAN. THEY EMBARRAS MY OLDER PIECES.

Mislabelled size
I received a small with a second label indicating medium. I had ordered a medium. Maybe double check on this if size is important ;)

As a spatula, it's great, but...
The varnish came off the detatchable wooden handle the first time I washed it by hand in plain luke warm water... :-/
