I had high hopes for this lock. The key fobs never worked couldn’t get them to program, but I was ok with that because I have fingerprints, code and a key option for getting into my house. At the 30 day mark, lock started to not recognize fingerprints the first time. I’m like ok, maybe finger placement was an issue. Next week my daughter has the same issue. Still I’m like ok. Then following week, fingerprint or code not working. Tried the key a few times and finally got in. At this point I’m concerned because what is going on. So I’m getting Reddit leave the house and my intuition says, make sure the key works - what do you know, they key won’t even work. I immediately changed out this look for a regular door & key knob so I could have price of mind that I wouldn’t need to call and pay for a locksmith to gain access to my house. Tried to call the company and there’s a message that says this number can’t take phone calls and it disconnects. I really wanted the ease of entering my house without a key but this product failed miserably, please look elsewhere unless you’re ok with it not working when you need it.

I have spent a few weeks with this lock on my office door and have really been impressed with its quality and functionality. The design of the handle is nice. The matte black color matches my modern farmhouse decor (grey, cream, black accents) and overall the handle is probably my favorite to use in the house. I know the the smarts/battery are built into the handles and as such it makes them a little more pronounced than normal handles - but they feel really good in the hand and they are easy to grab and use.I work from home and having this on my office door helps protect my office equipment and data privacy. I have the choice of locking/unlocking the door from the inside and from the outside it can be unlocked easily with either a code or a quick read of a finger print. The reader works really well - similar to what I am used to on phones and tablets. I ended up using the thumb print on my dominant hand because when I grab the handle my thumb just naturally rests on reader. It is a natural position.One thing i was worried about was what would happen if the battery died and i was locked out. Luckily it has a really smart design with a micro usb port on the outside (batteries are stored on the inside) that can give it a charge/jump to allow you to unlock and use the door.Very happy with this smart door lock, the security it provides, and its design, form, and functionality.
