I would recommend this for a microwave. Although I used mine for a printer. I already had two black glass shelves and wanted something that I hoped would match and hold my printer. Not that a printer weighs that much, but these were the right width to hold my larger printer (not humongous). Looks great as it's close to the size of my other shelves. It really turned out to be the perfect size. If II wanted anything "securely fastened" to the wall and able to hold a piece of equipment, this would be it. It looks good too! Recommend. This is the exact one I'm buying if I need another for some reason. It's a little more than some, but it's worth it.

The media could not be loaded.  It is a wonderful shelf - My husband installed it on his shop to put a small toaster oven there so when he’s working he can just warm up bread or a small pizza and eat there.He wants to get another one to put oil and cleaning supplies on, this is a very versatile and well constructed all metal shelf.It was very easy to put together and install, just make sure you mount on wall studs. This is nice and thick so it does not bend easily.Keeps everything off the counter and gives us a lot more room

This was the only shelf that fit my dimensional needs. It was more than I wanted to spend, but it really is a sturdy shelf.

We ordered two and the second one arrived missing two pieces. Not useable. Traveled soon after I was not able to return it in time. The first shelf is installed but not all that sturdy for the microwave. Would work for the toaster oven which is lighter. We will use the first shelf for that. The second one was a waste of money.

Once the shelf is installed correctly it works well and holds a lot of weight. The problem is, the manufacturer does not give you the correct hardware to properly install this. The length of the shelf only allows you to drill one side into studs and the other side will be supported by the dry wall only. This causes one side of the shelf to sag while the other side is firmly attached. To fix this, I had to purchase 1/4 inch diameter dry wall anchors for the side that isn't attached to the studs. After I did this, there was no sag, and it was pretty solid. Really wish the manufacturer would include dry wall anchors as it seems all of the negative reviews here are complaining about this same issue. The little hangers on the bottom are also pretty flimsy, I just threw them out.

I bought this shelf for my printer to sit on in a small office. It fits perfectly and is very sturdy. It was fairly easy to install with the help of my son, extra hands when installing this makes it much easier! I would buy it again. If you want to do the same, you should measure your printer to make sure it will fit properly!

Not worth $100, maybe worth $10. Flimsy cheap materials, I wouldn’t trust it to hold a feather. Do not buy!
