I like it a lot
When I received this I didn't expect much. The can was much smaller than I expected. My initial impressions were SO wrong that I was compelled to write a review. It is just a broth. It does need other things (noodles, mushrooms, egg, etc). But it is SOOOO tasty. It makes a very tasty and thick hot and sour soup broth. Also the small can will go much farther than I originally expected. After trying it, I am so impressed that I am going to order more.

Very tasty
Great soup, especially if you add a little vinegar and red pepper flakes. I like this so much better than the envelopes of soup mix. You can make much as you want and it’s very good and quick. To serve 2: I add 2.5 cups of water, 3.5 Tablespoons of soup mix, 2 teaspoons of vinegar and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes and stir in 2 beaten eggs.

Need to fiddle with recipe
Totally agree with others the direction are way off. That being said once funding the correct amount of mix and water and adding veggies and white vinegar it's excellent.

More than just a soup base
I am using this as a seasoning especially for chicken but also some seafood. It's good when doing a soup but there's so much more it can help to flavor

The soup base could be a 5, if you ignore all directions
I was excited to try this soup base. I love hot and sour soup, so I felt this could be a tasty broth to sip, when I just need something hot and tasty. And, to be fair, this can be that. But, the nutritional details don’t match the directions at all. So, all the information on the product, regarding carbs, sodium levels, etc, are going to be way, way off.The nutritional label says the can has 90 servings, and a serving is ONE TEASPOON of the soup powder. And all nutritional info is presumably based on that. However, the directions for making a serving read: one cup of water, and FOUR teaspoons of powder. So, is one cup of water supposed to make four servings? No.I made it according to directions, and it tasted weak and thin. I added one more teaspoon and it was good. I embellished it with extra white pepper, extra vinegar, and a tablespoon of dried ramen toppings, and it is what I was wanting. Tasty and flavorful. So, as a base to make a good soup, understanding that you will need to doctor it up,, this is pretty good. The serving size is crazy though. I need 2 cups to feel satisfied. I took a picture of my little mug, half-filled with what they call a serving, but, I’m still not mad that I bought this.Just use it in your own way, ignore their measurements and definitely don’t count on the nutritional numbers they give!

Love it with ramen
I make this frequently with ramen noodles (without the seasoning packet) and adding 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Yummy!!😋

Misleading Nutrition Label
The nutrition label is very misleading. My husband is on a low sodium diet and he saw that 1 tsp of this product, which is labeled as one serving has 200 mg sodium. However, the actual serving size to make just one cup of soup is THREE teaspoons. So that is 600 mg sodium for just one cup and that just won't work. I can't return it because of Amazon policy, but hopefully this review will help others to not buy this product based on the nutrition label .

Pretty good but veggies are disappointing.
Really like the convenience, I can make a cup with my coffee machine very quickly. The veggies are insignificant, but it smells good and it thick enough to satisfy. the quality is less that the restaurant variety, but if egg is added it is excellent.
