I mainly purchased this brand due to it's great reviews. What sets this item apart is the composite shaft, that won't rott away, due exposure to the elements. Going forward, this key difference, will take priority when evaluating this type of item.

This shovel is so much better than the cheap shovels I have had over the years. I found this by accident and I’m glad I did. It is very sturdy, works well. I will never buy any other shovel again.

I really like this shovel. After I broke a Home Depot Razor Back brand shovel I was looking for something strong that will hold up. I can really put my boot on the top of this one and put my full weight into it and no flex in the blade occurs at all. The handle for sure will break before any of the metal or welds on the blade will in my opinion, so being mindful of how hard I'm cranking on the handle and it'll last a very very long time.The only thing I feel as though this shovel is missing is a slightly sharpened edge. Out of the box the shovel has a squared edge on the bottom which doesn't dig well in harder soils. I am going to take my grinder to it to slightly sharpen it so it digs better. That's the only thing I would change about this. Aside from that, I'm glad I purchased it.

Made in the USA, super heavy duty. It's heavier than I'm used to, but it did great digging out some dead bushes that likely would have broken a lighter duty model.

Worth every penny. Thick, sold no nonsense shovel. Sterdy with a good weight to it.

I was looking for a sturdy shovel, and I always look for Made in USA. This fits the bill on both counts. It's built like a tank.I checked every local hardware store, and not a decent shovel to be found. Eleven varieties of Ames True Temper, a few off brands, a few store brands. A few had decent handles, but every single one without exception had soft, thin, cheap imported steel (in a few cases "tempered in USA") guaranteed to bend or break under any strenuous work.Where I come from, the ground is filled with rocks. A shovel takes a beating digging even a modest hole. You have to be able to stand on the foot braces and jump up and down, and scrape and auger and pound. Cheap junk won't cut it.This Bully Tools shovel has as solid construction as I have ever seen in a shovel. Pound on the blade, and it gives that distinctive deep thud you'd associate with a whack from a cast iron pan. Very nice. Heartily recommended.

Built tough with a fiberglass handle. Stronger design then I have seen as Home Depo etc.

Now this is a shovel. I was looking for something not made in China, and thought I would take a chance on Bully Tools, and I am not dissapointed. The craftsmanship that went into this shovel is just awesome. Nice big beefy over the top welding, great finish. This shovel will probably last for a decade or more of really solid abuse. I can't believe how inexpensive it was.It was the kind of product that makes me think "Man, I wish I had a youtube channel, where I could review products to share what works and what doesnt"

At first I was a bit worried the additional weight of the 12ga (versus the 14ga I intended to buy) would bother me but this has been a great buy.

Great shovel for the price

Now this is a shovel. Had a wide step, and solid plate made light work of the gravel I was digging. don't know how it will hold up in the long run, but this shovel is solid!!
