ratchet defective they replaced the ratchet and I am very happy with the set. Tom Jr.
The set is very nice but the ratchet was defective because everything else was so good I sent the ratchet back to the factory 3-31-21 today is 5-31-21 and no response I'm just waiting on a replacement ratchet 1/4'' Tom Jr.Ps if they replace the ratchet it's 5 star set.

Complete, well-built 1/4" socket set for the money
I needed a new 1/4" drive socket set. My old SAE standard well Craftsman set needed to be updated with expanded sizes, deep well sockets, and in metric sizes as well. I compared the Carbyne with other brands, including Milwaukee and Tekton. The Milwaukee set looked good but it was pricey given my needs. The Tekton set also looked good, but it lacked a few pieces I thought would be good to have—i.e., screwdriver bits in common sizes. The Carbyne set is the most complete well-built set for the money, in my opinion.

good value for the money
sockets are great - tab on ratchet to reverse direction is a little long and gets tripped inadvertantly - add some organizers for a compact set in your toolbox

Excellent quality
Excellent quality as good if not better than more expensive brands, I sold my snap on tools and purchased this set along with a few other tekton tools I’m very picky about the tools I use and these are impressive

Bad ratchet , good set
First I own 3 companies and do maintenance in the # 1 recycled box company, I would recommend this for entry level, however first time using them the ratchet failed, slipped to neutral position on several occasions, did not speed up the process. Not for industrial, but homeowner use I would recommend based on quantity and quality for light work, however for industrial use I would invest in a better quality ratchet, and you’ll probably be ok with the socket set, ratchet is my only complaint about this set, other than that not a bad set. Worth the money!
