Very well made and durable- works great

We live on a farm with three inside dogs that have plenty of room to run in an unfenced area. However, our youngest boy has not quite learned how to reliably come when called or stick around the house if you are not keeping an eye on him. So, we decided last fall for his own good that we'd get a couple of these tie outs and leash him when we are not directly outside supervising. They have stood up pretty well so far. Our boy is about 60 lbs, but pretty neck sensitive, so he doesn't pull or tug on the line very hard. We strung two of the 40' medium tie outs together with the stake in the middle of the back yard and just enough slack to get inside the back door to get hooked/unhooked without us having to get our feet wet. This gives him a nice, big 80' diameter circle to prowl in during the times he can't be off leash. He spends probably around an hour total per day on the lead.I have noticed a bit of rust this spring on the clips along with a few nicks in the protective plastic coating along the length of the leads. Also, there are a couple of spots with kinks where it may have snagged on something (we have a mostly grassy area, but there are a couple of decorative rocks here and there). These leads have worked fine for us, but not sure how they would hold up with somebody who had a dog who pulled more or needed to spend more time tied out than ours. I would purchase this item again if I needed a replacement, but I'm hoping our little guy will have outgrown his "selective hearing loss" that most adolescents go through by the time these are totally worn out.

The second the evenings get cooler, the plastic on this lead gets less pliable and develops all kinds of curves and knots. And then it starts snagging on anything and everything the dog goes near. And the part that attaches to the collar falls apart. I bought this product several times before I caught on to the fact that there are better options.I recommend the Boss Pet lead for large dogs. It’s red, and available on Amazon. It’s light enough that my pug has no problem with it, and sturdy enough that it stands up in cooler weather. (It’s fall here and we’ve had overnight freezes with no permanent curly cues in the lead. If my opinion changes once the snow comes, I’ll update this review.)

I bought this for a recent camping trip so as to prevent my dog from wandering off into other campsites. After two days of moderate use, the line was kinked, curled, and bent in a number of places, probably due to getting snagged on rocks or other impediments during the course of use. I have since taken this line home for use in my backyard, and the end closest to the stake has only gotten worse. The two feet of line closest to the stake looks like a slinky, having curled/coiled itself without obvious cause.That being said, the line is strong and, while the coating has cracked or scraped away in some small sections, the metal wire within is not frayed or broken.

The little piece that sticks off the latch to allow you to open and close it with your finger broke off today. You can still operate the latch but it's an annoyance. I've had it slightly under 2 yrs. I will flip it so that the "tied up" end has the broken piece, and get some more life out of it, but it doesn't give me confidence in the longevity or durability of the product.

This cable works great for my energetic boston terrier! It gives him plenty of room to play with his toys in our backyard. I took off one star because he broke part of the clip off after getting himself wrapped around a bush. Since it has two, I just clipped that end to his line.

Prompt delivery which I like a lot and well packaged. Like the length mostly, but not really the hook/clasp on the ends. They should be slightly bigger. May or may not buy this product again when the clasps wear out.

I love these pet cords, we use it for our small garden area which allows the dog freedom to run as opposed to being confined to the short length leash - he loves it... and I don't have to worry about him stopping at nothing to get the squirrels in the area.Love it...
