Doesn’t work at all
The media could not be loaded. Un packing this panel,I was so excited because it looks well made and sturdy. Comes with a remote as well as a qr for mobile app.I posted a video of the issue….it doesn’t work at all other than the blinking. I tried the app but it just connects and then disconnects over and over. The remote it comes with is nice, lots of options but it didn’t work. The battery must be dead and it’s a 2025 button type and I didn’t have an extra.Don’t know what else to try but out of the box it doesn’t work which is disappointing.

COLOR me IMPRESSED!
The media could not be loaded. As someone who has maintained fish tanks for the last couple of decades, and as someone who is pretty picky about how my tanks look, this backlit background is BEYOND INCREDIBLE!!Over the last 20 years, I have purchased more aquarium backgrounds than I can count, along with many very expensive bottles of background fixative (after trying every DIY substance mixed up in my kitchen to use instead of those pricey fixatives) and despite being super picky, smoothing those backgrounds to eliminate every bubble and dust speck, even when I managed to achieve perfection, it never lasted for more than a couple of weeks before the backing started peeling. or just plain falling off.I never wanted to paint my tanks so my options were incredibly limited. Like many, I tried window privacy films, simply taping backgrounds to the backs of my tanks and finally, I just gave up altogether and left my tanks without backgrounds, bundling cords and airlines and trying my best to hide the bundles behind plants and settling for my painted wall as the tank background. Most recently I decided to start a planted tank, purchased the standard black on one side, blue on the other background, only because I had some leftover fixative, but really didn't want to muck up the brand new rimless tank I purchased for this endeavor, so on a whim I checked out Amazon again and found this perfect background!! Pricey? Yes, but having it in my hands, being able to install it within a minute or two and then turning it on to see the incredible array of colors that can be changed on a whim, makes this worth every penny I paid and then some!I took photos with my tank empty, included a photo collage and a very short video of some of the colors available and those are just the tip of the iceberg - and what I was able to press on the handy dandy remote while also trying to use my camera! Beyond the 20 colors available, there are also brightness levels that add sooooo many more variations. The background can be set to fade, flash, move to music and remembers your color and effect settings when using the timer function. I did download the app, but have not yet investigated all of the possibilities as the remote is fairly easy to understand and while I am sure it would be fun to have my tank lights blinking/changing/fading/whatever all they can do, along with music, I don't see that being a necessity for my plants, and might be a bit too much of a rave party effect for fish.Only "con," as mentioned by others, is that there is a strip of light blue at the top of the background. I honestly don't mind it as I don't foresee running the background 24/7 and it is a fairly neutral/natural look. It's probably a good thing that this background is not available in a 48" length as I would be digging through my sofa cushions for the next couple of years to buy one for my 72 gallon bow-front tank! Options for adapting a clamp/hanging method for use with a rimmed tank would be fabulous as well. The background comes with a power supply that doesn't work correctly with the panel, an issue the seller has addressed and rectified - check the description as to how to receive the correct power supply free of charge - mine arrived a day before the background. Now to get my tank planted and coordinate my background with my tank light!
