I couldn’t be more pleased. Long story short the first one I bought had some defect. The overload protection tripped with just a lamp plugged in. I contacted the company and they sent me another one that arrived on the day I was leaving for a camping trip. The replacement works perfectly. I’m so pleased with the customer service. They didn’t answer the phone but communicated with me very effectively via email. They asked for a video of the symptoms of what my first one was doing and I sent it to them and they sent me a replacement. It rare to see good customer service these days but Rockpals hit it out of the park.As far as the product itself goes it works as advertised. I recommend buying 2 120w solar panels and the cable to connect them in parallel with Anderson connectors. Also get an Anderson to Anderson extension to keep the generator out of the sun. This is the only solar generator I’ve seen on the market that uses Anderson connectors. Not sure why other companies haven’t gone to Anderson yet as they are very convenient.Keep in mind this thing is NOT light weight. The batteries inside of it are heavy. You can’t blame Rockpals for that. Technology has not caught up to the point where this much power translates to something light weight.In closing I highly recommend this product because it does exactly what it advertises to do but also the customer service it second to none. They stand by their product. If you receive a dud they WILL NOT leave you hanging. They will make it right! So happy. Thank you Rockpals!

I bought this for tent camping because I use a CPAP. I looked at generators but had reservations because of noise and fumes concerns. I read everything I could, trying to find the quietest one. Then I came across this from an Amazon recommendation and made the decision to give it a try in lue of getting a generator. I charged it to full capacity and bought a solar panel and DC power adapter to recharge it. I camped for 5 nights and ran my CPAP on this each night for at least 7+ hours. We charged phones, and that's pretty much it. At the end of the trip, I still had nearly 80% charge, and I never used the solar panel or DC charger. This was an amazing solution for my no-electricity campsite, I highly recommend it!

The first Rockpals 1300watt battery I received was DOA. It took quite some time to convince customer support but eventually, I got one that worked. (I bought direct from Rockpals) Now, after less than one year, this one will discharge from 100% to 22% and then just poop out and go to 0%. This has happened six times so it’s not an aberration. Tried contacting support several times and - crickets. This smells like Rockpals is either going out of business or falling apart as a company. I also bought a Rockpals Freeman 600 watt battery (from Amazon) that worked ok for 6 months and then just up and died. I worked with Amazon for nearly a month to wrangle and finally get 75% of my money returned (kudos to Amazon) so it’s obvious that Rockpals sells an inferior product and will not support their products. There are many good alternate options and good sales here on Amazon.

Great product needed it to watch tv and it lasted the 11 hours it said. Also ran in to a problem with the unit they sent me got in touch with the customer service and they were quick to help me and assist me in getting my new working device and also sent a free shipping label to send the other unit back over I am very satisfied with my purchase and all the help. I haven't used it too hard or for too long of a time, but in some testing it's worked great. I was using it with a 110 volt, 700 watt (I think) soldering gun to avoid having to run an extension cord and this powered it without problem. I've used it with lights and a fan as well. Charging with a 12 volt cigarette lighter plug is very slow, but if you're going to be in the car it's an easy way to top it off. The AC adapter is the fastest. I with it was able to handle more than 200 watts through the solar input. 300 would be better, 600 or even 800 watts would be fantastic.It looks like it might be in the process of being phased out and replaced as it was on a steep discount and is now unavailable. Hopefully an updated model with the ability handle more wattage for a faster charge from a more powerful solar panel and a higher wattage inverter will be included.

I didn’t know I couldn’t return this item . Non refundable!!! It’s TOO heavy for this 65 yo woman , I’m disabled. Plus I couldn’t connect my solar panel to it. It Had many connectors for solar panels But not the one I need. . So be careful when purchasing this item!!!

Seems to do what I want from initial testing.

I bought two of these in fall of 2022. They worked great until recently. Now the fan on one of them is so loud, I literally have to put it outside the cabin and run a powercord through the wall. It's unbearable. Even while charging on the Rockpals solar panels, it's so loud I have to charge them away from the building. I've tried to contact Rockpals support four separate times and have received no response. I'm should be still covered by my warranty. Support used to be one of the best things about them. Apparently that ship has sailed. Looks like I'm moving on to Jackery going forward.
